Welcome to our lovely two-story home located in Kailua-Kona, famous for it’s beautiful beaches, snorkeling, diving, fishing, kayaking, hiking, swimming with dolphins and whale-watching. The house is in Kona’s Highlands, where the air is cooler in the evenings but still warm during the day. It is a very convenient fifteen -minute drive to town for dining and shopping, the marina for fishing and whale watching, a short drive to all of the best beaches, and just ten minutes from the airport. It is a place where the “rush” of being on vacation can be let go of, and one can truly relax. This is a quiet “Locals” neighborhood, very different than “Resort Style” living. The entire house is yours to enjoy during your wonderful Hawaiian holiday. The layout of the house is open, welcoming, and comfortable. You can relax and enjoy an outdoor meal on the spacious upstairs lanai, which has an amazing, ocean, sunset view. The cozy living room, well-stocked kitchen with counter seating, and half-bath are upstairs. Two roomy bedrooms and a full bath, as well as an outdoor shower, patio and laundry room, are downstairs. There is a great market called Matsuyama located at the top of the neighborhood, a quick 5 minutes drive, where you can buy just about anything you need. There is a great selection of basic staples, beer and wine, as well as a video rental kiosk. They also have a gas station. Guest access You will have access to the entire house, except for one room containing our personal items which will be locked. There is a television and DVD player for watching movies.
