"The OverlOOk" is your home away from home!

You will love staying at "The OverlOOk" for your family or friends' getaway! Nicely located just off Clear Lake, but with a clear view of the lake, the location makes it easy to get everywhere you'll want to be in the Clear Lake area! We sleep up to 10 people (11 if 3 of them are small kids) in 5 different bedrooms, and we have 3 full bathrooms to meet the needs of a large group! Modern but cozy, big but not too big - this is the perfect place for everyone (with parking for up to 7 vehicles!) Your jaw will drop as you enter the foyer full of original art and live plants! Truth be told, we find ourselves spending lots of time just in "the gallery" chatting and enjoying the sun and surroundings! Let's start UPSTAIRS which functions as the main floor of the house. A gorgeous lake view will greet you as you embark on the second level of the home. It's outstanding (especially on a clear, sunny day!)! The living room has a HUGE sectional for kicking back and relaxing in comfort while gazing at the lake views. You will find a Sonos sound system ready to be linked to your phone to stream the music you enjoy. The living room also has a smart TV - so remember to bring your Netflix/Amazon Prime/streaming credentials with you on your trip. A separate little seating area allows for private conversation for two. We haven't forgotten the kids with our floor pillows and plush rug - perfect for movie night! There is more than enough room for everyone to settle in at "The OverlOOk." Heading out of the living room, you come to the dining space with formal seating for 6 with lake views. The space is sleek and clean! This privately-owned home has a new large kitchen featuring quartz countertops, modern cabinetry, new high-end stainless-steel appliances, and again - that lovely lake view. The kitchen is fully equipped (full-sized refrigerator!) for the enthusiastic cook who enjoys feeding family and friends! A Keurig coffee machine is available as well as a traditional coffee maker, and the kitchen includes a sitting counter for quiet mornings as the rest of the crew emerges from their restful night's sleep. The covered deck is off the kitchen with a small dining table (seats 4) and a sofa for lake-view relaxing! There is a queen-sized bed in the large, 2nd floor main suite, with cozy bedding and plenty of space. The main bedroom has an on-suite bathroom with a walk-in tile shower and double vanity. The main suite is the only bedroom on the second floor of the house (which is where the kitchen, dining, and living spaces are). Let's head back downstairs to the entry level of the home and back through "the gallery." A queen bed is in the entry-level guest suite with a full bathroom attached with a gorgeous walk-in tile shower and double vanity. The "Jack and Jill" bedrooms each have a queen-sized bed with a shared bathroom between them. There is a double vanity and tub/shower combo in the shared bathroom. The décor is just delightful and makes guests feel at home! The fifth bedroom doubles/triples/quadruples as a game room, den, and/or office with a dedicated workspace and a 55" TV for gaming fun. Please bring your own gaming devices! There is a pull-out full sofa bed and pull-out twin chair bed for 2 adults or 2-3 small kids. We REALLY enjoy this space as a place to send the kids, focus on work when you need to, or to have a private conversation away from the rest of the crew! There is a clothes washer and dryer in the main-floor hallway with detergent and spot treater provided. You will also find games and outdoor toys in that space. The outdoor space at "The OverlOOk" includes a giant patio, a pellet grill (we provide the hickory or BBQ wood pellets), and a portable fire pit with firewood to enjoy in the cooler times of the day. "The OverlOOk" is located on the south side of Clear Lake and very close to state park, South Shore donut shop, The Sweet Spot "The Cone" ice cream shop, and lakeside dining at PM Park & Tiki Bar or The Landing. Take your morning walk or run lakeside on Lakeview Drive or through State Park towards downtown. For a little beach time State Park beach is the largest beach on Clear Lake and a half mile away. Downtown Clear Lake is a mere 3 miles away, close enough to drive or bike over but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle (and noise) of festivals. Walk out the front door and head in any direction towards fun and entertainment. So much fun to be had in all directions! The owners take great pride in providing the types of amenities that they, themselves, look for when traveling with their family and friends. You will find everything you need to cook, relax, and enjoy your vacation, including the pellet grill with hickory pellets, fire pit and firewood, washer and dryer with detergent and spot treater, power stations on each nightstand and desk, and dedicated office space for your use. Cleanliness is critical to a guest's experience and we employ the most highly-rated housekeepers in the area. * This property gets regular pest treatments. * Surveillance Device Disclosure: We have a security doorbell and cameras outside the home that record video and audio of those entering the home from all doors. There are no devices inside of the home. * All property photos are owned/were purchased by "The OverlOOk" and all outdoor photos were purchased by the property owner. Please do not borrow them :) Guest access You will have the entire house to yourself - no space is shared with any other guests. Kick back and relax!
