THE SPACE Welcome to a newly renovated 1 bedroom unit at Waikiki Banyan located in the heart of Waikiki. Fully furnished unit is conveniently located steps away from restaurants, shopping and convenience stores. Location is just a 5-minute walk from Waikiki Beach. Easily walk to numerous of dining options, unique shopping locations, Kapiolani Park, and even the Honolulu Zoo. Please note that the pool and recreation deck is closed as Waikiki Banyan begins their Pool and Recreation Deck Enhancement Project. During the enhancement project, there may be construction noise in and around the pool and recreation deck area between 7am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to improve our amenities to guests. Please note that this is only a starter supply to ensure you have what you need for your arrival. HOUSEKEEPING: Please note that there is no daily housekeeping. Extra charges may be accessed if there is excessive cleaning or if there are damages to the unit. TOWELS & BED LINENS: Upon your check in, you will receive one set of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth, beach towel) per registered guest. Bed linens include 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, 1 comforter with duvet, and 2 pillows. LAUNDRY ROOMS: Laundry rooms are available on each floor and open daily from 8:00am – 10:00pm. Washer and dryers are coin and credit-card operated. Please note there is a coin change machine next to the lobby located in Tower 2. TRASH ROOM: Trash rooms are located across from the laundry room on each floor next to the emergency exit. Please ensure your trash is carefully secured in the trash bag. AIRBNB CANCELLATION POLICY: - Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, a full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking. After that, a 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. - We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that reimburses for prepaid, non-refundable expenses that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances that could jeopardize your vacation investment and would otherwise incur unplanned expenses as well. Other things to note Waikiki Banyan Pool & Recreation Deck Enhancement Project The Waikiki Banyan Association announced that the Pool & Recreation Deck Enhancement Project will begin on April 7, 2025. As a result, the pool, Jacuzzi, and BBQ areas will be closed for approximately one year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. During the enhancement project, there may be noise in and around the recreation deck area. Construction noise will be isolated between 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday with no work on holidays. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our amenities to guests. SMOKING Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted on any part of the recreation deck that is not a Board-designated smoking area. CLEAN UP Any occupant or guest using a portion of the recreation deck shall ensure it is left in clean and orderly condition. NOISE Loud noise of any kind shall be avoided at all times. Radios, tape players and other sound producing devices must be played at moderate levels, and in any case must not cause annoyance. Official “Quiet Time” from 10 pm to 7 am on the recreation deck, during which no noise above a “normal conversational level” will be allowed and no “sound producing devices of any kind may be played.” This includes devices like radios, music players and musical instruments. PARKING PLEASE NOTE: The garage has a 6 foot (72 inches) height limit. OVERSIZED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARKING GARAGE. The vehicle can be damaged going up and down the ramps. If your vehicle exceeds the height limit, parking not permitted. Parking stalls are unassigned and may not be reserved with the exception of loading zones, marked visitor parking spaces, and marked parking stalls designated for use by persons with a disability. All vehicles parked on the premises shall be parked only within marked parking stalls, except as noted in 5.6. Posted rules for parking must be observed. All vehicles parked on the premises must display proper parking authorization. Vehicles parked in violation of these House Rules or posted regulations may have their authorization to park revoked and the vehicle may be banned from parking in the garage and/or towed at owner’s expense. Mopeds, defined as being powered by motors 50cc and under must be parked in the designated moped parking area and are subject to the applicable parking fees. Bicycles and Electric Scooters must be parked in the designated bicycle parking area. Registration: Mopeds, Bicycles, electric scooters, and the like must be registered with the City & County of Honolulu and with the Waikiki Banyan Administration office and bear the provided registration decals at all times. Moped, bicycle & electric scooter parking are for Waikiki Banyan unit owners and long-term tenants only. Bicycles, scooters*, skateboards*, in-line skates*, etc. are not allowed to be ridden or operated in any common area (including the lobby, elevators, hallways, rec deck, parking structure, etc.). Mopeds may only be operated in the parking structure. (*including electric). WHERE TO DISPLAY PARKING PASS Your vehicle must display your current permit from the rear-view mirror or on the driver’s side of the dashboard with the license number portion facing forward. The license number and current month’s sticker must be clearly visible. For the DAILY/WEEKLY rates security will place/tape the tickets inside of your car (drivers) at time of purchase. You must display this pass coming and going from the garage (just leave in place how security secure it). LOSS OF PARKING PASS Please note that there is a $200 charge for replacement of all lost parking passes. WHERE TO PARK Parking at Waikiki Banyan is unassigned. We do not rent parking stalls, we rent authorization to park. Your vehicle must be able to go up and down our ramps to park above the ground floor. Our handicap stalls require a valid Handicapped Parking permit. Visitor Parking, loading zones and the sub-basement are not available for general, including monthly, parking. (Monthly parking is from Level 2 to 5). TOWING Any vehicle may be towed, at the owner’s or operator’s expense, from Waikiki Banyan without notice if: 1. the vehicle’s permit is not current or is not prominently displayed. 2. the vehicle’s permit was issued for a different vehicle. 3. the vehicle bears a defaced, altered, or counterfeit permit. 4. the vehicle is in violation of Waikiki Banyan vehicle operation or parking rules. RULES AND REGULATIONS We take safety very seriously. Our garage can be busy with both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and you have an absolute responsibility to operate your vehicle safely at all times at Waikiki Banyan. Please read the Waikiki Banyan House Rules relevant to vehicles and parking. All vehicles on Waikiki Banyan premises must obey all Waikiki Banyan parking rules, posted and written, all the time. Please note that 5 mph is the speed limit throughout the garage. PARKING SELLS out. Please read the instructions as to how monthly parking works by clicking on the above link. A reminder that monthly parking is for the calendar month, no matter when you purchase the pass (example: if you are able to secure a pass, still available say for example on the 5th of the month – the pass is only valid till the last day that month).
