Quiet guest room, private bath, charming farmhouse
Book a weekend or longer and enjoy the beauty of the Connecticut River Valley and our neighborhood of North Hadley, which includes Lake Warner and hiking trails, Carr's Cidery Garden and farm store and the North Hadley Sugar Shack, all within walking distance. The location is under a 15 minute drive to UMass, Amherst College and Hampshire College. It's about 15-20 minutes to Easthampton, Greenfield, Northampton. 30 minutes to Springfield/Holyoke. The space Our house is on a quiet street in a farming community. The guest room is on the first floor (a few steps up into the house) includes two twin beds and a private bathroom. You'll have a coffee/tea setup in the kitchen, and use of fridge if you need to stash a few items. We have a microwave and toaster oven. I enjoy providing some breakfast options, fruits, breads, e.g., if you'd like. The shared but still quiet spaces are an open space that includes the kitchen and the first of two sitting areas -- the sunroom, divided from the kitchen by a counter, where you can sit and enjoy the view out fields and our "barn." Outside your bedroom is another dining area, which we won't use during your stay, but you can! There's also a piano, out of tune by a 1/2 note! Do play if you're so inclined. Guitars and a ukulele also avail. Guest access I will be here to greet you or leave you a instructions how to get in. During your stay We'll be here to greet you, then available during your stay. We are happy to show you around, or leave you to intrepidly discover the area. Other things to note The house is an older farm house, with lots of natural light, comfortably furnished. In your room, in addition to beds, a desk, chairs; shelving for clothes, spacious closet. A space heater in the cold months. An a/c for the summer. We have a very friendly older cat (not as old as the house) who will not be in your room -- unless you leave your door open. His kitty litter box is away down at the other end of the house from where you'll be staying.
