The Trade Wind Home is located at a perfect 1,415 feet elevation. Sunny during the day and cool at night. Most of the rooms have portable air conditioning, but you may not need them during the cooler months. Conveniently located 3 miles away from the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (KOA), we are also 10 miles from the heart of Kailua-Kona town to the South, and 10 miles from amazing white sand beaches to the North. The house is a duplex with outdoor stair access connecting the two separate living spaces, for a combined 2,653 sq. ft. total on an 11,000 sq. ft. spacious property. Our 6 bedrooms, 2 full kitchens and 3 bathrooms are a perfect location / house for group reunions, weddings, and many other activities. Extra amenities include : For the kitchen : coffee/ K-cup coffee maker, rice cooker, pressure cooker, blender and extra large pots. For the beach : beach towels, chairs, snorkeling gear and body boards. For the baby/toddler : a high chair, a playpen, plastic cups and plates. Rent-a-car is necessary to move around in this big island. Disclaimer : This is my Hawaiian home, where I spend time periodically throughout the year. While none of personal items are in any of the guest bedrooms, I do have some personal items in a freezer, locked pantry/dresser on the 1st floor. Also my truck and camping trailer are on the property; however, the property is big enough that my personal items should not be in your way.
