Relax by the water or explore Cape Cod’s charm—our home offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. ❤️ in the upper right corner to add to your wishlist! The space Welcome to Our Cape Cod Beach Cottage! For over 30 years, our family has treasured the magic of Cape Cod, and now we’re thrilled to share our beloved home with you. Our children have spent countless summers building sandcastles, swimming, and exploring the calm waters at our private sandy beach, located just steps away across the street. Perfect Location for Relaxation & Adventure our cottage offers direct access to the renowned Cape Cod Rail Trail Bike Path, stretching 25 scenic miles through picturesque woodlands, ponds, and charming towns—just outside the front door. For water enthusiasts, a new boat ramp is located just 1 mile away in Brewster, making it easy to launch your kayak, paddleboard, or boat. Comfortable & Well-Equipped Home with 4 cozy bedrooms (King, Queen, Double, and 2 Twins) and 2 bathrooms (one with a shower/tub combo), our home is designed for comfort and convenience. Each bedroom features its own mini split air-conditioning unit, and linens and towels are provided for free. Queen bedroom upstairs has lower ceilings, so watch your head. Additional amenities include WiFi, heating, a washer, dryer, hair dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook or grill. Our Beach Cottage sits near what was once the Cape Cod Railroad—a vital rail line that brought visitors, goods, and summer memories to Harwich and other seaside towns starting in the mid-1800s. The trains carried travelers from Boston and beyond, offering a scenic and convenient route to the Cape’s sandy shores long before highways existed. Harwich Station was a bustling stop, connecting locals and visitors to beaches, cranberry bogs, and village life. Pizza Shark was once a train station, with another station closer to downtown Harwich. Though the train no longer runs, its legacy lives on. Today, the old railway has been transformed into the Cape Cod Rail Trail (right out the front door of our Beach Cottage), a paved bike and walking path stretching over 25 miles through charming towns, salt marshes, pine forests, and freshwater ponds. It’s a peaceful and picturesque way to explore the Cape—right where the trains once rolled through. Whether you’re pedaling to the beach, walking to an ice cream shop, or simply taking in the scenery, you’re traveling along a route rich in history and timeless Cape Cod charm. Step back in time with the comfort of modern living in our lovingly maintained and continually updated 1800s Cape Cod Beach Cottage. This historic home is filled with character—from original wood beams and sloped ceilings to wide plank floors and cozy nooks that speak to centuries of coastal New England charm. Over the past 30 years, this cottage has been thoughtfully updated to preserve its unique heritage while adding the conveniences today’s guests appreciate. Recent updates include refreshed bedrooms, modernized kitchen essentials, updated bathrooms (think clean updates over the past 30 years, not sparkling marble), and new furniture and bedding—ensuring a comfortable stay without losing that classic Cape feel. We are committed to making our Beach Cottage even better with each season and continue to invest in its charm, comfort, and functionality. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth of a historic home, the proximity to our private sandy beach, other large public beaches, or simply a peaceful place to gather with loved ones, we invite you to make lasting memories here. Come experience the simple joys of Cape Cod in a home that’s stood the test of time—and continues to get better every year. Whether you’re here to unwind by the beach, bike along the trail, or explore everything Cape Cod has to offer, our cottage is the perfect place to create lasting family memories. We can’t wait to host you!
