Our freshly fully renovated 1970's A-frame beach house features expansive views towards the Na Pali mountain range overlooking thousands of acres of conservation land - all while being located 150 steps from one of Kauai’s most secluded North Shore beaches. If you’re looking to escape the crowds and enjoy your own secluded paradise – look no further. The 'Tropi-cabin' is ideally situated steps to your own beach, right next to Tunnels Beach, Ke'e Beach, the Na Pali Coast and Hanalei Bay. The space The modernized 1970's A-frame beach house features a newly renovated kitchen and two brand new bathrooms. Relax on the newly built 60'+ lanai (deck) overlooking thousands of acres of conservation land where you can soak in Kauai's nature as horses, donkey's and cows pass by in pasture behind the house daily. The kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances and looks out towards the Na Pali mountains. There is a new BBQ grill on the lanai (deck) as well and brand new lounge chairs to soak in the North Shore's pristine nature. No need for a pool - you're steps away from the beach, or a 2 minute drive to Tunnels Beach - which has some of the best snorkeling on Kauai. The property features a large grassy front yard, perfect for yard games and ample parking and privacy. The master bedroom features a new California King mattress connecting a private bathroom. The fully renovated bathroom features a full size soaking tub with local Camphor wood countertops. The second bedroom features a queen bed and second fully renovated bathroom with an oversized 6' shower. There is also an outdoor hot shower - perfect for rinsing off after a long day of exploring the Kauai's north shore beaches. The home stays cool with large ceiling fans so no need for A/C. The third sleeping area is located in the upstairs loft - with a queen bed. Please note that the stairs are steep to access the loft so it is not suitable for young children. The family room has a full sized couch - perfect for unwinding and watching your favorite show or movie - with Na Pali Coast views out the window. Ample dining room and kitchen seating for enjoying meals, this beach home combines the serenity of Kauai with modern amenities to suit all of your needs. Need to get some work done on your trip? High-speed Wi-Fi and a comfy dining table, couch or outdoor patio lanai seating all enjoyable workplace as well. Located in the idyllic town of Hāʻena, the home is just 2 minutes to our local restaurant (Opakapaka Bar and Grill) and coffee shop or a quick drive to Hanalei town for ample delicious restaurant options, grocery stores and shopping. Tunnels beach is a quick bike ride or 2 minute drive with some of Kauai’s best snorkeling and highest chance of swimming with our local resident Sea Turtles ‘Honus’. Hāʻena is also home to a few celebrities (Pierce Brosnan (007), Anthony Kiedis, etc.) drawn in by the serenity and beauty of this north shore surf town. Another mile down the road you will enter Hāʻena State Park and Ke’e Beach and the start of the Na Pali trail, Kauai’s most epic hiking trail. If you are looking to escape the main touristy spots in Kauai (Poipu, Kapa’a & Princeville) you will likely love staying in Hāʻena. In an effort to reduce our impact on the environment we strive to offer an eco-friendly home, featuring efficient appliances, lighting, recycling and eco-cleaning products. Our tap water is supplied from the local purified rain water so no need to bring bottled water. Please be sure to use Reef-safe sunblock during your stay in Kauai as well. The beach cottage is locally family owned / managed so your stay will be supporting local residents here on the North Shore of Kauai. Please use the outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day of hiking or enjoying the beach. - Please notify us immediately of any problems with the house so we may quickly address it. We're typically able to resolve most issues quickly if notified - and want to make sure you have an excellent stay! - Store, wrap or refrigerate all food and drinks to discourage pests. - Trash should always be bagged tightly in plastic bags and deposited in the trash cans outside. - Please feel free to do laundry during your stay. Bath and Beach towels are provided. - Please no smoking in the house. If you must smoke, you may smoke on the lanai (deck) CHECK OUT PROCEDURES: Check-out time is 10:00 am , unless a late check out has been prearranged. Please wash and replace all dishes, cookware, food storage containers, and utensils in their proper place. Please replace the key in the lock-box.
