The space Our charming log cabin offers a cozy and comfortable stay with all the amenities you need to feel at home. Here's what you can expect from our property: Living Room: The spacious living room features a wood stove, perfect for relaxing with a good book or enjoying a cozy evening by the fire. There is a comfortable sleeper sofa that can accommodate two guests. If your party includes nine guests, please note that two people will need to sleep on the sleeper sofa in the living room and one person on the futon in the second bedroom. Kitchen and Dining: The fully stocked kitchen includes modern appliances, cookware, and utensils, making it easy to prepare your favorite meals. The adjacent inside dining area has a large table with seating for four, and outside is a porch picnic table for seating for six providing a perfect spot for family meals and gatherings. Bedrooms: Master Bedroom: The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed with plush bedding, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Second Bedroom: The second bedroom also offers a queen-sized bed and a futon both with comfortable linens. Please note that the stairs are steep with low clearance to access the second bedroom from inside. Some may feel more comfortable walking outside around the house, down the steps to the sliding door to access the second bedroom. There is no bedroom door to the second bedroom. Third Bedroom Loft: The newly renovated small and cozy loft features two twin sized beds. You can access the loft from the spiral staircase in the living room and is open to the living room (there is no bedroom door). Bathroom: The cabin includes two clean and modern bathrooms with showers (no tub). Fresh towels and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience. Outdoor Spaces: Porch: Step outside onto the expansive porch, equipped with comfortable seating and a barbecue grill. It's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a sunset dinner while overlooking the lake. Private Dock: Enjoy direct access to the lake from our private dock. While there is no beach, you can enter the water directly off the dock or by the shoreline. The lake bottom is mucky with some vegetation, including lily pads, which create a natural habitat for fish and frogs. This adds to the charm and tranquility of the setting, offering a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Boating, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water are some of our guest's favorite activities. We provide 2 individual kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, and 1 row boat and life jackets for your enjoyment. We do not have small children or infant life jackets. We ask that you please bring these if your children want to go boating. Fire Pit: Gather around the fire pit in the evening for a memorable night under the stars. Fire wood is provided under a tarp to the left of the carport. Hiking: Walk to the trail head of the Cronin Conservation Area which includes 16-acres of hiking trails. The Groton Trails Network has over 10 square miles of conservation land with roughly 130 miles of maintained trails. Driveway: This used to be an old railroad track that Bostonians used to travel to Nashua, New Hampshire. Though it is flat, it has steep sides, so please drive carefully. The driveway is dirt and if it snows a plowable amount, it will be plowed but not salted. The driveway can be icy in winter months. There is 1 parking spot that is maintained against ice.
