LOCATED JUST 2 MILES FROM THE KONA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. YOU CAN ARRIVE AS LATE AS YOU WISH! NO CURFEW! Your bedroom is private and it DOES NOT have it’s own bathroom. The room is very comfortable, spacious, clean and has Aircondition! In order to use the AC, you have to agree to the terms before you arrive. The main bathroom is down the hall, first door on the right and is shared with the other Airbnb guests. This is a local Hawaiian home and yes, we do live in the house with our dog (Grizzly). He is very clean, sweet and friendly! He also has free rein of the entire inside and outside of the house. If you are uncomfortable with Grizzly, and he with you, allergic to, or afraid of dogs, this is not the place for you! We ask that you honor, respect and live by the Hawaiian culture. Please be kind to one another, as well as abide by the “House Rules”. The local Hawaiian style is; like our parents would say… no be shame, make yourself at home! The washer and dryer is OFF LIMITS to all guests. If you ask, the answer will still be NO. Guest will have access to cable television, Netflix, and password secured Wi-Fi. In the shared bathroom, we provide towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner for your convenience. Off limits are the laundry room (washer and dryer) and all other bedrooms that is not yours. I love "talking story" with guests and telling them about historical and insightful things to see during their stay on the Big Island. I do provide This Week Big Island (maps), and the Big Island Best Guide book. Kona Palisades Subdivision is safe and centrally located to most places. Just 2 miles from the Kona International Airport, 3 miles to the closest Surf spot (Kohanaiki), Pine Tree café, Kona Mountain Coffee and Costco. The town of Kailua-Kona, restaurant, shopping and groceries, is just 7 miles away. PLEASE NOTE: That the public transportation (Hele On Bus) here in Kona, comes through twice daily, (to Hilo town)... it does not operate on Sunday’s and holidays. To get the best of what the Big Island has to offer, it is recommended that you rent a car... you must have a negative Covid test, in-order to rent a car. Please provide your flight information and or your arrival time? Should you already be on the Big Island, your most accurate time of arrival? 2. Please park out on the street, it is complementary!
