Aloha! This one-bedroom one-bath second-floor condo is a charming choice for your stay in Kihei. It is a two minute walk to one of the best beaches- Charley Young. This condo features air conditioners in both living room and bedroom, kitchen, bedroom area, tiled flooring throughout, plus a covered lanai to enjoy sunset views in the evening. We look forward to welcoming you for your vacation! The space THE INTERIOR This one-bedroom one-bath second-floor apartment is located in a charming older two-story condominium building which houses only 8 units in total, so the building has character that is more residential than a busy resort complex. The inside of the apartment features air conditioning units both in living room and bedroom, tiled flooring throughout, plus comfortable furniture in the living room, a king size bed in bedroom, and full kitchen. The space is set up ideally for two people as there is one king size bed in the bedroom but since there is a sofa-bed in the living room that folds out into a full size bed, and so on occasion can accommodate a third person. The covered lanai faces west for excellent views of sunset skies toward the ocean which is just across the street. The East-West direction of the apartment means cross breezes waft through the apartment when trade winds are flowing and doors are open. WHAT'S INCLUDED INSIDE A set of linens, pillows and a comforter are provided in addition to a full set of bath towels and beach towels. Also provided is a starter set of amenity-size liquid soaps including body wash and shampoo, as well as paper towels, and toilet paper. The living room has a comfy couch and a flat screen TV with streaming apps. The kitchen has a refrigerator, electric range with stove and oven, microwave, plus small appliances including a coffee maker, toaster, and blender in addition to an array of kitchen utensils, silverware, glasses and mugs, plates and bowls, pots and pans, etc. Two beach chairs are provided as well. THE EXTERIOR The building exterior is updated with lush tropical landscaping and the apartments provide comfort inside, in a superb location being steps from the gorgeous beaches along this short residential street, and within easy walking distance of a wide variety of shopping and dining and water activities. PARKING FREE ON STREET Parking on the residential street directly fronting the apartment building is free, as the parking spots in rear of the building are reserved. Please do not drive up the driveway to load or unload anything during quiet hours (9pm-8am) out of respect for our current guests. Mahalo & have fun in Maui! Guest access GUEST ACCESS- Both check-in and check-out are easy breezy for this unit- The main door to this unit has a keypad door lock. In advance of each stay, the guests are provided with a code. Guests are invited to let themselves in at check-in time (4pm) on their check-in day. Check-out is equally effortless: guests are free to simply depart at any time prior to check-out time (11am) on their final day. Departing guests are requested to notify the host that they have checked out and departed the apartment, so the host knows when it is okay the enter the apartment to prepare for future guests. As a recap, check-in time is 4pm, and check out time is 11am unless a different time is possible, and has been requested in advance. Please note that there is a fee for this. Other things to note OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE There is a free Wi-Fi internet connection for this apartment, (subject to rare but possible outages, like any other internet services that can go down.) The name of the wireless network and password are provided on a card inside the apartment. In the living room there is a Large Screen TV with apps for streaming your subscriptions. There is a laundry room onsite which has washers and dryers. The grounds and the building are subject to occasional maintenance aimed at improving the exterior look of the property, including weekly visits from a landscaping crew and quarterly visits for standard pest control treatments. In an effort to "go green" using renewable energy sources, an array of solar photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof to generate electricity, but please continue to conserve electric whenever possible.
