Just a short distance from the train station you'll arrive to enjoy a private apartment in the second story of this refurbished home. All amenities required for a comfortable stay have been thoughtfully chosen and provided for you. Create a memorable meal in the well stocked kitchen before you relax on the deck to enjoy a view of the Mississippi River and Fort Madison Train Depot. The space The apartment offers a full kitchen stocked with a variety of dishes, pots and pans, bakeware and other cooking essentials along with a stocked coffee and tea station for your enjoyment. The living room has a view of downtown where you can play a few records, enjoy the books and magazines provided or curl up on the couch and watch your fav shows on the 55" Roku TV. There is also a dedicated work space where you will find a wireless charger built into the lamp and charging ports in the outlet. The well appointed bathroom features a 5 foot tiled shower with dual rain shower heads and soft close glass doors. You'll find shampoo, conditioner and body wash and a variety of towels. In the event you forgot an essential don't worry, check out the vanity for a stash of courtesy toiletry items provided for just such an occasion. There is a washer/dryer 2-in-1 machine available if you need to wash a few items during your stay. The separate bedroom contains a queen sized bed with a memory foam mattress, black out curtains, nightstands with touch-control lamps & charging ports, clothing storage and a 30" Roku TV. Any additional guests would use the queen sized air mattress or the couch in the living room. Last but not least, enjoy sitting on the deck and enjoy the view of the Mississippi River and the Fort Madison Train Depot. You are walking distance from restaurants, a movie theater, grocery store, beautiful parks and other downtown amenities. Longer stays are welcome and complimentary cleaning services are available for stays 10 days or longer. Guest access You will have full and private access to the second floor apartment. It has its own exterior stairs. The yard is a private garden space shared with the office that occupies the first floor. You are welcome to enjoy the gardens and use the front gate to easily access the main downtown street (ave G). Other things to note You'll access the private apartment via the exterior stairs. Please note there is no elevator access. Also, please watch your step as you go from the kitchen to the living room as there is 1 small step. There is a motion night light installed and also cues to remind you to watch for it.
