Sunhillow Farm Getaway

This secluded 3-bedroom cabin has everything you need for your perfect Louisiana-getaway. No traffic, noise or people. Located on 220 acres adjacent to the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge, the property includes freshwater lakes, a beach, and multiple trails for a beautiful morning or evening walk. Guests have easy access to the BCNWR for deer, hog, etc. hunting, as well as canoes and kayaks. We have blueberries, whitetail deer and chickens supplying fresh eggs, when laying. The space We live on the property with our three dogs, 15 chickens, 2 cats, and our herd of whitetail deer. It is a working farm with farming activities being done. Blueberry season is from late May until mid July and coincides with the fawning season for the deer. Guest access Boat launch with a two bay boat house is available for your use should you want to bring your boat. We have canoes and kayaks for your use. We have a private beach on one of the lakes with a pavilion and picnic tables. It’s a great place to swim. There are two miles of hiking trails around the property. Other things to note Please let us know if you wish to use the canoes or kayaks so we can have them ready for you. While we accept 8 guests, we only have three beds that sleep 6 comfortably. As an additional treat for those who book 4 nights or more, enjoy a complimentary blueberry dessert, made with blueberries from our orchard. Also included is a sunset cruise on our pontoon boat and your choice of a complimentary bottle of wine. Please let us know what your preference is.
