LONE PINE COTTAGE is open! The Hardtner House's "Little Sister" is on the same 2 acre park-like property of the main house. We took a small structure on the property and raised it from the "dead." With a choice to tear it down or fix it up, we now have a sweet "tiny house" - 600 sq. ft. of beauty, charm and comfort. Living room w Murphy bed; small Kitchen with refrigerator-freezer, sink, microwave, counter-top oven, kitchen basics, dining table; Queen Bedroom and Bath. Sleeps 2 or 3 The space The Lone Pine Cottage is sited on two park-like acres at the edge of the city limits. It is a "little sister" to the larger, historic Hardtner House. Enter from the cozy front porch with "party lights" to a beautiful Living room (with a Murphy twin bed for one extra guest). There is a small Kitchen with refrigerator-freezer, counter-top oven, microwave, coffee-maker, sink, kitchen basics, dining table-chairs. The Bedroom is fitted with a queen bed, sofa, reading area, closet and vanity/lavatory. The bath includes an "open shower". Guest access Lone Pine Cottage guests have access to the whole house, which stands alone on two acres of private property. Plenty of parking near the cottage. The Cottage is ground level, for accessibility through double doors. Other things to note Anyone who travels to Alexandria, La. for business or pleasure will enjoy their stay at the Lone Pine Cottage. The restoration and furnishing of the house were designed for beauty, privacy, comfort, quietness. The Cottage is furnished with distinction - it's both a fun place to be and a lovely retreat - built with love and with our guests' comfort and pleasure in mind.
