Our Passive Solar Cottage is a unique & tranquil adult getaway! Bonne Terre is a 10 acre accredited FarmStay located right outside Breaux Bridge & 15 min from Lafayette, La. All Guests must be over age of 22 No Self Check- ins Only Guests on Airbnb contract are allowed at cottage/farm. Strict Policy! Pets/Service Animals are Not Allowed at our farm ( Endangering free-range farm animals/frequent guest's allergies). No Events * Cleaning fees increase with/Bookings for 5 nights or longer. The space Our hand built passive solar cottage is set near the front of our ten-acre farm. We’re organic gardeners, naturalists and music lovers. Cottage is open space design with a queen sized bed downstairs and a twin sized bed/sofa in the loft. Bathroom has a soaking clawfoot tub, pedestal sink, & toilet. Linens and towels provided. Guests are treated to locally made artisan-made soaps (Bonne Terre Blend - Fern Meadow Soap). Other amenities include hair dryer, iron/ironing board, chest of drawers, and plenty of closet hanging space. Entertainment includes an SmartTV, wifi, an assortment of books, many about and written by Louisiana authors, Turntable, with vinyl collection, regional magazines, small organ and other musical items. Our cottage kitchen offers everything needed to create a home-cooked meal Coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, a wide assortment of dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils, cloth napkins and more. The breakfast nook has a dining room table which seats two and a counter with comfortable swivel chairs for office work or dining, with a great view of the farm. We are environmentally conscious. Recycling bin & kitchen compost pail provided and we use "Green" non-toxic cleaning products for our rentals. Cottage also has a printer, paper shredder and several nice spaces to work. There is a wrap-around porch with a table that seats four, a porch swing for morning or afternoon coffee and a comfortable bench and chairs. Lots of shaded outdoor sitting areas for bird-watching and enjoying the outdoors. Covered BBQ area with grill (old school charcoal) too. Our quaint country road is a nice place to have a walk and of course, all guests are invited to have a farm tour and meet out little family. Guest access No Self Check-ins. Guests are asked to stay in their private and fenced in cottage yard. The cottage yard is next to one of our pastures which houses our family of goats and our horse. Again, farm tours are available to our guests, just ask. We will try to work about your schedule when possible. Other things to note Bonne Terre is an Adult Getaway. We are a Farm Stay, Artists' Retreat and Getaway. Our farm is an accredited farmstay. Farm tours are available to all guests. Just ask. Please note that Guests of our guests are not allowed. We do not do events here. The maximum guests are three . The minimum booking is two nights and maximum is 30 days. We try to be very flexible with check-in times and check outs too when possible. Only one vehicle per guest please! Please drive slowly when entering and exiting our farm and on our country lane. We respect our neighbors.
