Cozy log cabin 15 min to Glacier

Take it easy at this tranquil getaway! We have decided to share our unique vertical log cabin in quiet Hungry Horse, MT. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch while you plan your adventure in Glacier Park. Conveniently located near Flatheads greatest gems - just 15 min outside the famed West Glacier entrance! 5 minutes from the Hungry Horse reservoir and within walking to the Flathead River. 20 min drive to Whitefish. Enjoy your privacy in our fenced yard full of mature trees. Adventure awaits! The space There are 2 bedrooms (one king, one queen), plus 2 living rooms (one with a sleeper futon). There is a full kitchen with everything except a dishwasher. Dishes are washed by hand with all cleaning supplies necessary supplied. There is one bathroom, with a shower. There are towels (with a washer/dryer in case you run through them quick), soap, and basic bathroom amenities. Our dining room table seats 4. There is a covered patio overlooking the yard with 4 outdoor chairs plus 3 stools at the outdoor bar. The grill is on the back patio as well. There is a full grilling kit in the cabinets inside the house. The cabin stays pretty cool overall as there is lots of shade, but we do provide fans in case you need them. Feel free to move them around if you need. There is at this time no air conditioning in the cabin. Guest access Use of the property includes the main cabin and the fenced yard. Please do not disturb the separate fenced RV space on the far side of the property. Other things to note Please be aware the septic system is older and not designed to handle anything other than human waste and toilet paper being flushed. Please help us keep our cabin protected by not flushing any wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or any other foreign substances down the toilets. We have Wi-Fi, and although it is the fastest speed available please keep in mind we are out in a very rural/forest area and the speeds are not the best. Streaming lots of video from multiple devices will not be possible. Come to unplug not plug in! Also be aware due to the same location reasons there are animals of all sorts big and small. We do our best with pest control but you may experience bugs, spiders, rodents, deer, and even bears are possible. The fence usually keeps the big guys out of the yard assuming you are keeping the gates closed. Don’t imagine you’re going to be overrun but just be aware we are in the woods! Although for the most part the canyon area stays pretty good temperature there are occasional heat waves. Utilize the fans and take advantage of the cooler air in the evenings by opening up the windows and running the fans. Try and keep the curtains closed and windows closed during the day to keep any cool air in and hot air out during those times. We have never found it to be unbearable but we know some people are more sensitive than others.
