Our dome offers a unique blend of off-grid living and modern comfort, powered by sustainable energy sources. The space The dome features 1 king bed, one twin size bunk bed and can comfortably accomodate up to 3 adults (2 adults and 2 small children is possible - message us ). There is a well equipped kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, dishware, and utensils. Lounge in our indoor seating area or dining area. There is a full closet available- be sure to check the drawers for games and books. Outside you will find a beautiful outdoor living space with a gas grill, a hammock, lawn games. and seating area to catch the unforgettable sunsets over the ocean. We have beach towels, chairs, shade umbrellas and upon request you can also borrow snorkel gear, and body boards. The bathroom is detached with a state of the art Sunmar compostable toilet (you use it just like a regular toilet) and custom tiled shower with vanity. Towels, environmentally friendly soap and shampoo are provided. Powered entirely by sustainable energy sources, you can revel in the serenity of your surroundings without compromising on convenience. There is wifi available and the large flatscreen TV is set up with a variety of channel offerings should you need it. Situated midway between the vibrant town of Kona and the awe-inspiring Volcanoes National Park, you'll have easy access to both adventure and relaxation. We recommend renting a car for your visit and if you are planning any hiking or Mauna Kea summit visits - be sure to bring some warmer clothes with you. Guest access Guests will have sole access to the dome (415 square feet) outdoor living space (400 square feet) and detached bathroom (100 square feet). Our family lives up the hill on the property. Far enough away to ensure privacy, but close enough to provide support if you need us. You may see our lovable golden retriever from time to time as he makes his rounds. Other things to note We are a unique glamping location in the rainforest on the side of a volcano with expansive ocean views. You may see wildlife visitors from time to time, specifically geckos and coqui frogs (they sing at night) are very common and harmless. We treat for pests regularly inside the dome, but just let us know if you see anything you don't want to handle. We love to share any ripe fruits and treats made from the variety of things we grow onsite to show our aloha.
