A west facing porch allows to you enjoy sunsets over the Pintler Mountains. --- The Yard The immediate area around the cabin is surrounded by a 5 foot fence and the drive way gate can be closed to provide your pups and/or kiddos with a large and secure space to roam and play. Private trails wind through aspens, cottonwoods, and meadows to more than a half-mile of Mill Creek frontage. Wildlife is one of the property's greatest attractions. Deer, elk, moose, coyotes, beavers, bald eagles, hawks, osprey, and countless songbirds are frequent visitors. Other things to note The Story Behind the Land Long before the cabin was built, this property served as an important Native American travel corridor connecting the Clark Fork and Big Hole Valley. Evidence of that history—including worked chert and the occasional arrowhead—can still be found throughout the property. Later, the land became home to a stagecoach stop, a rural schoolhouse, and then supported the logging operations to the historic Anaconda copper smelter. Curious guests can still discover remnants of these early structures while exploring the property.
