Newly redecorated basement apartment in 1910 Craftsman home located within walking distance of all that Missoula has to offer. Cuddle into the sleeping nook or enjoy the newly tiled shower and bath. Full (but compact) kitchen with Nespresso machine for an early morning pick me up. Comfortable (truly!) sleeper sofa if the nook is too cozy. Well behaved dogs are welcome. We do not welcome any other animals, (cats, rats, snakes, birds, etc.) This is a complete apartment in a 1910 Craftsman house. It has its own entrance, access to the fenced in backyard and free laundry right across the hall. The access to the house is through a shared outside door at the rear of the house. The inside hallway has a door to the downward stairs that lead to the door to the apartment. Within the apartment is a compact but full kitchen (no dishwasher), good sized living area with smart TV, sleeper sofa and bistro table. There is a cozy built in sleeping nook with touch activated lighting and bathroom with tiled shower. Coded entry to all the doors. This is a downstairs apartment in an old house so the steps are steeper than new construction. This hasn’t been an issue with people (but it could be if stairs are difficult) but with older dogs. If your dog is arthritic and too big to be carried this apartment is probably not a good fit for you. The house is located in the East Pine Street Historic district. It is an easy walk to to the Clark Fork river, the University of Montana (and Griz Stadium) and to downtown on our beautiful historic tree lined boulevard. There you will find great restaurants and shopping. There are several breweries within walking distance; grab a growler from the apartment and check them out. Cross the back alley and you are at Black Coffee and Grist Bakery for a delicious cup of coffee, pastries and a loaf of bread. There is a trail system along the Clark Fork River which you can take to the baseball stadium, skate park and other parks. In addition to the The Blackfoot and Bitterroot rivers are nearby which, in addition to being world class trout fisheries, are favorites for rafting and kayaking. Dogs are welcome if well behaved and able to be left alone. If your pooch has separation anxiety or barks at sounds in the house it will not be a good fit. (We do not accept any other animals). This is a three unit house and barking dogs disturb everyone. See above for info on the stairs! We do kindly ask that you let us know when you are bringing a dog with you. COVID update 10/20/2020 We have committed to the AirBNB COVID cleaning protocol. Please check the City of Missoula website for updates on covid advisories. WI-FI is 400 mbps if you need to work remotely. There is free laundry across the hall from the apartment and the fenced in back yard is a shared space with the other units. We are always available via phone or text but won’t be on site. Walk to the university or all that downtown has to offer. Just a few minutes walk gets you to the river and the farmers market on Saturdays. The house is an 11 minute drive from MSO, usually a $15-20 Uber/Lyft. There is plentiful free street parking around house. It is a quick walk up Madison to Greenough Park for a hike or run. Plentiful, free on street parking. You could easily park your car when you arrive and not need to drive it again until you leave. Missoula has a lot of trains and this neighborhood is no exception. The house is a block from trains and you will hear them. I am a light sleeper but have found the trains soothing.
