The space Located in the center of the quaint town of Grand Coteau, the Train Wreck Inn is the perfect spot to rest your head. Your stay in the Blue Train car is sure to make special memories. Enjoy coffee, tea or a cocktail in the main room's warm glow that is casted through locally made stained glass. We suggest pairing this with the charm of a record spinning some old tunes! Time truly stands still here, if you let it. Mingle in the beautifully landscaped courtyard or hop in the hammock for some quiet reading time in the shade. We have multiple seating areas to enjoy a meal or beverage outside. Take a stroll next door to the cafe or an antique shop. Guest access The courtyard is open to all guests to enjoy. Parking for one vehicle per Airbnb is available on site on Chatrian St, with additional public street parking on the front side of the motel (on Martin Luther King Dr.) Other things to note Our spaces are historic, compact and efficient, and we love that about them! Choices for layout and items on board were made based upon this. A few quick notes: - Keep in mind the Train Wreck Inn is composed of spaces that are historic and quirky. We take pride in their condition and cleanliness, but note that they are actual pieces of history / not brand new. - Kitchens are custom built and fully stocked. We provide an electric kettle and French press + local coffee and tea. (Instructions to use French press and electric stove are included in your Check In Guide. There is also an electric coffee pot in the cabinet if you prefer.)
