We do not boast convienience to town, but the peacefulness and beauty of the ranch will have you never wanting to leave. We are located between the small, eclectic town of Hot Springs (aptly named for the multiple natural heated mineral springs) and the slightly bigger town of Ronan. Both are a 20 miles and a roughly 30 min drive of gravel road. That being said, almost all of our guests make the 2 hour drive to spend the day and Glacier and are happy to come back to the solitude of Whiskey Trail. We have plenty of wildlife, including elk, deer, black bear, coyotes and more! Our wild, remote land is also the home to rattlesnakes, sneaky little mice and other creepy crawlers and pests that add to the adventure! We are just 9 miles to a fishing access on the Flathead River. Remember you are in the middle of the Flathead Indian Reservation and you will be responsible for purchasing the correct fishing and recreation permits. We are happy to help you navigate that information. Guest access As guests of the Whiskey Trail Ranch, you will access to 10,000 acres of hiking and exploring. This ranch is rich in history and we can provide you with some resources to learn more. Our guests are also welcome to come to the main ranch and learn about the day to day chores that keep the WT Cattle Co running. Our primary business is the commercial cow/calf operation and most of the cattle work is done by our family horseback. Depending on the season, you may get to bottle feed a calf, block a gate for a cattle drive, watch the cowboys rope in the arena, watch a branding, or see how our hay operation works. We love to talk about agriculture and enjoy introducing our guests to our horses for a pet on their velvet noses. We just ask that you let us know when you would like to come to the main ranch as it is our home and not open to free exploration. Other things to note The Whiskey Trail Ranch has 4 homes on the 4000+ deeded acres. The main house where Scott and Tammy live is not visible from the cabins. There are 3 vacation homes up Whiskey Trail. Due to the remoteness of the ranch, the 3 homes are located so they have access to the one power lineT and spring fed water line. The original "Ikes Cabin" and the new "Whiskey Creek Bunk House" are visible to each other. "The Lodge" is the last home on the line and cannot be seen from the other cabins. Do you have a big group for an event? Rent all three!
