This is a SHARED home w/ the owner onsite in a separate suite on the 3rd floor, who has been fully vaccinated against Covid 19. There is one other guest room on the main level . Quiet location in the woods but only a 5 minute walk to downtown Vineyard Haven's shops, restaurants, market, ferry and bus lines. 2 nearby beaches within walking distance. Comfortable and tastefully decorated home in a wooded setting. Great location in a quiet wooded area, only a 5 or 10 minute walk to downtown Vineyard Haven. Sit out on the deck in the morning and enjoy your coffee. Watch the birds, deer, squirrels and turkeys that come thru the woods. Take a bike ride to Tashmoo Opening where the lake meets the sound. Or enjoy a stroll thru town stopping off at Owen Park to admire one of the finest collections of wooden sailboats on the east coast. The fragrance from all of the flowers along the way is intoxicating. Enjoy the island! You will have access to the main level of my home which includes the living/dining rooms, kitchen, bath, decks and outdoor shower. Feel free to watch TV or listen to music in the living room. There is a nice garden in the backyard. I live on site, but work a lot I can always be reached by text or cell. There is another guest room which shares the bathroom and first floor. There is a separate apartment on the ground level which I rent to a quiet couple. The quiet country road leading to my home is an easy walk w/ minimal luggage. But it can be sandy and/or pot holed, and very dark at night There is excellent bus service on Martha's Vineyard. It is located right at the ferry dock in Vineyard Haven just minutes from my house. There are schedules and routes for all points on the island. I do not lock the front door. Please do not lock it at night, as others may be coming in later. It's a safe community and I've not had a problem in 37 years. The bedroom doors have keys and you can lock those if you wish. There is a $25.00 key replacement fee. Important! When walking downtown at night be sure to take a flashlight (provided) or your smart phone flashlight as the road is pitch black until you reach Franklin St (about a block)
