Our cabin in the woods is a lovely spot, offering nature, culture, and tranquility! With a picturesque view of Goose Pond, relaxing on the beach or kayaking on the serene waters await you. In winter, you're a short drive from ski slopes like Butternut and Jiminy! And being in the heart of the Berkshires means you're close to iconic cultural venues like Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow. This is a quiet place for rest and relaxation. Save the noise for when you’re back in the real world! :) The space The bedrooms: (1) Upstairs, Queen size bed (2) Downstairs, full size bed (3) Downstairs bunk bed. The bunk bed is a twin-over-full with a twin trundle underneath. There is a second living room between the two downstairs bedrooms where we have two full-size futon sofas that can be pulled out for additional guests. With a big screen tv, the downstairs is great for watching a movie while those who wish for something more sedate can chat quietly upstairs. There is also a full-size mattress in the loft above the kitchen, which is a favorite of teens and kids! Two bathrooms: The bathroom upstairs has a shower/tub combo. The downstairs bath has a standing shower. There is a washer and dryer in the downstairs bathroom. The lake: The lake is an 8 minute walk downhill (or you can drive and park down there.) It's a private beach that belongs to the private community the house is in. Once you're down there, you can lounge on the sand in one of our 4 beach chairs, swim in the lake, or take out one of our two kayaks. The kitchen: Coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, a brand new refrigerator, and all the essentials for cooking up a storm. There's a dining table inside and one on the porch, depending on your desire for indoor or al-fresco dining. Other things to note The beach is small and, like the Leisure Lee community where our cottage resides, intended for a quiet and restful experience. So please, no radios, pets or cooking are permitted. Enjoy the vibe and recharge your batteries while you soak in the beauty around you! Also, there is a marina and dock near the beach. These are off limits to guests and are for community residents only.
