The space This is the lower unit of our beautifully appointed up/down duplex in a normal, friendly neighborhood. One large step to the front porch entrance and 7 steps down will lead you to your new oasis. At just over 900 square feet, our unit is a comfortable space for up to 4 people. Relax in our cozy living room and enjoy access to Netflix or bring your logins for your own favorite streaming platforms to enjoy on Roku. Choose a provided board game or a puzzle to enjoy during your stay. Our kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, bakeware and more so that you may cook full meals and bake tasty treats should you desire. We provide a Keurig coffee machine with coffee pods, tea, cream and sugar. If you prefer drip coffee we also provide a coffee pot, bring your own favorite ground coffee. Enjoy the patio furniture off of the kitchen and observe the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. With super quick access and proximity to Interstate 80 you may at times notice the slight drone of road noise. Do you need to do laundry during your stay? No problem, the unit comes with a washer and dryer and we provide laundry soap and dryer sheets for your convenience. The bathroom comes fully stocked with hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Just like a hotel, if you find you forgot your toothbrush at home, don’t worry, we have you covered. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of the two bedrooms, each with a king size bed. Our rooms have room darkening curtains to help ensure you get the best quality nights sleep possible. Each room comes equipped with a luggage rack, sound machine/night light and a stand up fan. The lamps have an extra plug in and 2 USB ports so that you may easily charge your devices. Working from home is made easy in our unit with a dedicated Workspace and fast fiber internet. The unit comes with one Pack N Play, sheets and mattress protector. There are also kid plates, cups and utensils. The unit is pet friendly (no cats) and we provide extra items to ensure that you and your pet have a comfortable stay, this includes waste bags, bowls, blankets to protect the rugs/furniture and nearby parks and walking trails. There is a shared front and backyard with the upper unit of the duplex for you to enjoy or the kids to run around. Please keep pets on leash. Within a few miles you are close to EVERYTHING! Quick and easy access to Interstate 80 makes this a great pit stop on your drive across Iowa. Settle in and enjoy the nearby grocery store, mall, gas station, Children’s Museum, a multitude of local and chain restaurants, and miles of nearby trails for walking and biking. With quick access to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and the Veteran’s Hospital and Clinic, our home is a great oasis for those unexpected visits to the hospital or planned trips. And for our Hawkeye fans? We’re near the action of downtown, Kinnick Stadium, Hancher Auditorium, Carver Arena and more. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
