Blue Banana Bungalow - Tropical Hawaiian Hideaway

Welcome to the Blue Banana Bungalow, your peaceful home away from home. The perfect place to stay and enjoy while exploring the island, with privacy, and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Listen to the waves in the distance, as palm fronds and banana leaves dance in the breeze. Located between Hilo and Pahoa town, and just a few blocks from the ocean, the Blue Banana Bungalow is the cozy and private Bungalow for your next trip to the East side of the Big Island. The space The Blue Banana Bungalow is located on the Makuu side of Hawaiian Paradise Park, about 30 minutes from Hilo. It features an open kitchen, dining, and living space, and a full bathroom downstairs, and one bedroom upstairs. It is most comfortable for 2 people, but can sleep up to 4 when using the sofa bed downstairs. There is a private back lanai and back yard, with outdoor seating, and views of rolling lava rock, palm trees, and lush jungle. In the kitchen you will find complimentary drinks and snacks, as well as unlimited reverse osmosis mineral water. It far exceeds bottled drinking water standards, so there is no need to hassle with buying water in plastic bottles during your stay. The bungalow has air conditioning upstairs. Most of the time it is not needed, as the solid slab foundation and rockwool insulated walls keep it very comfortable. On exceptionally hot days, the air conditioning can provide a welcome cool-down. The bungalow is in a secluded residential area, which means it's quiet most of the time. At night you will hear the Coqui frogs and the crickets. If you have been to rural Hawaii before, you know you can also expect to hear a rooster or two from time to time. There is one general store and a few good restaurants within 10 minutes or so of the bungalow, otherwise, the closest stores and restaurants are about 20 minutes away in either Pahoa or Kea'au, or 30 minutes away in Hilo. The bungalow sits behind the main house on the property. There is a bamboo privacy fence between the main house and the Bungalow. The owners live on the property in the main house and have three friendly dogs. Guest access Guests will have the entire bungalow to themselves. On-site parking next to the bungalow for up to 2 vehicles is included. The bungalow is located about 1/4 mile down a gravel road. The road is well maintained year round and accessible by any car, four wheel drive is not required. Registration details TA-134-729-8816-01, GE-134-729-8816-01, GE and TA tax are passed to the guest.
