You can take a walk around the property or use one of our many outdoor amenities. (Guests have sole access to their cottage and patio. Shared space for the remainder of the property.) Note: We are located off a main roadway but are currently planting trees and designing a landscape to act as an extra sound buffer. Also, please be advised that we are currently renovating two other cottages on the property. Guest access We will provide you with an access code ONE DAY before your arrival. This will allow you to check yourself into the property using our electronic lock. Your personal and unique code is programmed to be active only throughout the duration of your stay. The Azalea Cottage offers guests one private parking spot on the right side of the cottage. The Evangeline Cottage offers guests three total, private parking spots on the right and left side of the cottage. There is room for other vehicles, but please contact us if your party will have more vehicles so that we can make accommodations. If you have guests visiting you during your stay, please let us know ahead of time. This is to ensure your safety, as well as the property's. Guests will have access to the entirety of the open grounds of the property including the following areas: firepit, picnic table, wrought iron swing, along with walking the open areas. *We ask that guests keep away from the other two cottages on the property, as we are in the process of renovating them in order to bring two more one-of-a-kind stays to the property! Other things to note You will soon enjoy 2.5 acres of beautiful green scenery right on the Vermilion Bayou in the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana. Fully renovated, the century-old Azalea Cottage and Evangeline Cottage are respectively a 1 bed / 1 bath and 3 bed / 1 bath home, equipped with everything you'll need for your family getaway, work trip, or any other adventure that brings you to our city! Also in these renovated cottages, remain the beautiful hardwood floors throughout, as well as the completely renovated bathrooms. A little slice of this property's history! The outdoor amenities included with your stay will be: -one hammock and many trees that will make for fantastic reading or napping spots -two chairs and one table on the porch for you to lounge as you drink your coffee or watch the sun set on the property -fire pit area with which we will provide you chairs, firewood, and a lighter -a wrought iron swing located on the corner of the property that provides amazing views of the Vermilion Bayou -a picnic table located on a concrete slab where our guests can enjoy a peaceful meal underneath the shade of the trees (Guests have sole access to their cottage and patio.
