Cozy & Relaxing Stay in Craftsman's Treehouse
Cozy & Relaxing Stay in Craftsman's Treehouse
Description
A one-of-a-kind stay in a REAL TREEHOUSE! Our treehouse is in the beautiful Hill towns of the Pioneer Valley. This cozy treehouse is the ultimate showcase of craftsmanship. With a queen bed in the main living space and two small twin beds in the loft, the space is perfect for a couple or a small family (kids ages 10+ only). The space - The property is nearly 80 acres and abuts both state and federal conservation land. Our treehouse is perched in five oak trees with views of Shaws Ledges. - Nearly all the building materials for the treehouse have been milled from trees on the property or repurposed from various construction projects from with-in the community. - The treehouse is along a town maintained dirt road and is a very quiet, peaceful place to enjoy some time away. - As this is a treehouse, the space has a composting toilet and outside shower. - The toilet is very similar to a typical toilet, it does not smell and requires just a little maintenance during your stay. - The outside shower is private and has hot water to clean off after a day of exploring the area. Guest access - Guests will have a dedicated parking space within about 200 ft of the treehouse, so a short walk over uneven terrain is required. - Guests are welcome to enjoy the tree house and private fire pit area. Other things to note - The treehouse is in the forest and will require a short walk from your car. It can be quite dark. We will have flashlights to use during your stay but would encourage you to arrive during the daylight to ease your arrival. -The treehouse is built on trees in the woods. This brings nature close to you. Bear, deer and small animals have been sighted. Nature could also mean a few bugs. Mosquitoes, how many will depend on weather and the time of year. All windows are screened and there is a screened in porch. The treehouse is built of wood as well, this means that a few ants/moths may find their way in. -As indicated by its name, 5 Oaks, this treehouse is built in 5 oak trees. Acorns will fall, especially when it is windy. -The property is on a well with limited water supply, so we request that guests limit the length of showers and always make sure water is off when not in use. - Cellphone reception is limited depending on carrier and the treehouse does not have wifi. We would encourage you to use the opportunity to disconnect.
