Description

This whimsical yet sophisticated waterfront penthouse in the magical West End features breathtaking 180-degree views of Provincetown Harbor, Long Point, and Cape Cod Bay. The unit is the best of both worlds: enjoy panoramic and ever-changing seascapes as you listen to waves crash onto the beach — then walk to the vibrant restaurants, bars, shopping, and galleries of Ptown. Or relax on the 200 feet of beachfront deck exclusive to the Masthead complex. The space The Birdhouse is located on the second floor of the Masthead Condominium in Provincetown’s coveted West End. The unit itself is bathed in incredible natural light and spectacular views of the water and coastline from 13 windows on three sides. Inspired by the bird paintings from a local gallery perched (!) over the bed, the interior has been completely updated with a colorful, modern twist on the classic, quirky charm of Provicentown. The unit has a large main room with a new king bed, plush twin daybed, work station overlooking the harbor, Roku with YouTube TV, blackout shades for restful sleep, plenty of seating and storage, and a separate kitchen with breakfast nook. Behind the porthole mirror in the kitchen is a secret porthole window that is original to the unit and the sort of one-of-a-kind detail that makes Provincetown so special! Guest access The Birdhouse is on the grounds of the Masthead Resort & Cottages but is operated independently — so you have full complementary access to the Masthead’s enormous private waterfront deck spanning the length of seven buildings along Provincetown Harbor just a few steps from the unit. There is also direct beach access from the deck. Please note that the unit does not have a dedicated parking space on site. However, from May 1 to October 31, guests may park one car for free in the Provincetown Inn lot (about a 5-minute walk from the unit). From November 1 to April 30, there is ample free public parking along the street by the building or in the nearby West End Lot at 55 Commercial Street (less than a 2-minute walk). Other things to note In general, guests are welcome to check in early on their arrival day and check out late on their departure day at no additional cost as long as there is no other guest right before or after you (as applicable).
