KITCHEN: There is no kitchen where you can cook in the studio but there is a sink in case you want to order or prepare something simple at the counter. there is a small fridge. BATHROOM: enjoy the rain shower in the bathroom. STORAGE: For the long term stays (over 28 days) storage in the basement is available for a small additional price. If you have furniture, boxes, or anything that you do not use often, we can accommodate storage for your things so you can have more space. Depending on what you need to store we can agree to a very reduced price. A LAUNDROMAT is one block away from the apartment. Drop-off service available. PARKING: The apartment comes with no parking or any street parking. Downtown Jersey City is not the easiest for Parking. You might find street parking, but every day is a matter of patience and luck, and you have to move the car every day for street cleaning. Therefore you cannot leave the car and forget about it. There are some areas around 10 min walking near Journal Square where Parking is much easier. There is paid private parking in the area, which you can find different options online, as prices change a lot (I recommend SpotHero as the best app to find the best deals). Additionally, Jersey City Heights has many areas for Parking, but it is a 20-minute walk from Downtown. In any case, public transport is fantastic in the area, and you can walk around to all the most exciting locations. The path train that connects to Manhattan is a 5-7 minutes walk. You have a supermarket a couple of blocks away and all the convenience of downtown JC. You will not need a car to enjoy New York Metropolitan area if you stay in the studio. Still, if you plan to drive every day and need Parking, you might want to try your luck, as indicated above, explore another location in a building with Parking, or look for places that are not Downtown. It’s a great neighborhood for New York City commuters and travelers as well as for those that want to enjoy a bit more calmness than Manhattan while being minutes away from it. Aside from the proximity to the underground transportation with Manhattan and other parts of New Jersey, you will have in less than 5 minutes walk a large diversity of exciting cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, yoga studios, gyms and a great supermarket (Keyfood). In less than 15 minutes walk you will reach a large shopping mall, a multiplex movie theater, several parks, and the riverside with some of the best views in the New York Metropolitan Area. If you want more shopping, next to the Newport Mall, you can find Shoprite, BJ’S Wholesale, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Home Depot and Target. Enjoy this studio, that accommodates 2 people. Driving and Public transportation: -Public Transportation: The fastest and most popular way to Manhattan is by Path train. The nearest Path station is Grove Street station, less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment. At this station, there are two trains going to NYC: 1) World Trade Center (WTC) train: Two stops: - Exchange Place (3 mins from Grove), - World Trade Center (7 mins from Grove) 2) 33rd St train: Four stops: - Newport NJ (5 mins from Grove), - Christopher, NYC (10 mins from Grove) - 9th street, NYC (12 mins from Grove), - 14th street, NYC (14 mins from Grove), - 23rd street, NYC (16 mins from Grove), - 33rd Street, NYC (18 mins from Grove) From any of the stations in NYC, you can walk or easily catch one of the NYC subway trains to get around town.
