Welcome to our enchanting 2-bedroom lakefront cabin, a serene haven nestled just an hour away from NYC. The space This beautiful retreat gives you a cozy ambiance and rustic charm, As you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warm log cabin interior mixed with modern decor. The living room features a stone fireplace for nights around the fire. With two large private bedrooms and an upstairs loft with convertible sofa bed, our lakehouse accommodates up to 8 guests. Wake up to the soothing sounds of nature and the picturesque views of the lake from multiple rooms in the home. Outdoors you’ll find an enclosed yard for guests who bring kids or dogs, complete with beautiful flowering foliage no matter what time of spring, summer or fall your stay is - lilacs, peonies, roses, hydrangeas and more. On the deck there is a dining table for 6, a hammock, umbrella for shade, seating with a view of the lake and gas fire table for cool nights, as well as a 6-burner gas grill and a small charcoal grill. The waterfront has chairs to relax and take in the views, and an outdoor fire pit for campfires and s’mores. The allure of this cabin extends beyond its walls, as the surrounding area offers a plethora of activities to suit every taste. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to hiking trails and state parks, where they can explore the region's lush landscapes and scenic vistas. For winter adventurers, nearby Mountain Creek offers skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing. Ice skating is permitted on the lake in the winter months as well, and there is a nearby rink offering open skate hours (including Friday night ice jam disco!) In the warmer months, the lake invites you to enjoy fishing, kayaking, or simply lounging by the water's edge. (Please note that although the water off the dock is great for fishing, turtle-watching and launching kayaks, the water here is very shallow and the lake bottom has lots of vegetation, so the swimming is not ideal. For our guests who love swimming, there is a private community beach and swim area that guests have access to with our seasonal badges - it is on the other side of the lake and accessible by kayaks or by bike/car.) Also in the warmer months, thrill-seekers can embark on zip-lining adventures nearby, or a few different outdoor waterparks, adding an extra element of excitement to your stay. Please note that this is a rustic log cabin in the woods, and that comes with occasional bugs and critters indoors and on the patio. We do our best to keep these things at bay but nature is abundant! If you plan to enjoy the waterfront, please be aware that the walk down and up is steep and has 31 stairs to climb.
