Welcome to our New Orleans home filled with special items with meaning, thought, and intention behind them. Located directly above the garden district in Central City. Our house is walkable to restaurants and venues on OC Haley. Walk 10 min (5 blocks) and you'll reach the street car and St Charles street with gorgeous boutique hotels, bars and restaurants. 20 min walk to Magazine st. for more shopping and food. 5 min drive to the Smoothie King & Superdome. 10 min drive to the French Quarter. The space Our charming home was built in 1890 and boasts many of its original architectural features, making it a true piece of history. This is not a full-time Airbnb as we spend most of the year living in here, it's our actual home and we rent it out when we're traveling for work. We've carefully curated the interior with unique and intentional decor collected from around the world as well as hand-painted murals to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect "home away from home" for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. We love our neighborhood and neighbors, please be considerate. Staying here will offer you an authentic New Orleans experience and I've created a huge guide book on here with suggestions of what to eat, to do, and see outside of the tourist traps. There are two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom (each have toilets and sinks. One with a huge shower, one with tub only, NO shower). The primary bedroom features a comfortable queen sized bed. The secondary bedroom has a queen sized bed and access to the backyard. Four people can comfortably enjoy the space. The outdoor space is surrounded by lush landscaping and offers a private space to relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of nature right in your own backyard. Enjoy the sounds of New Orleans as second lines and brass bands can be heard in the distance. Note: There are security cameras around the exterior of the property. Guest access You will have access to the entire home except for our personal bedroom/bathroom which will be locked up. Other things to note -Please NO pets in the home at any time -No young children -No parties -No professional photoshoots or videos -No smoking, of any kind, in the house -Shoes OFF in the house please -Please be respectful to our neighbors and neighborhood While we love and feel very comfortable in our neighborhood, it's advisable to avoid walking very late at night as a precautionary measure.
