Dr. Lucy Hobbs the first woman to graduate a dental college in the world had her dental office in this building from 1862-1865! Many famous people have stayed in the American House including former President Jimmy Carter and the legendary Mark Twain when he was doing a speech in the area. This historic villa is located on the second floor. You will get the whole second floor space to enjoy your time in the beautiful city of McGregor. Located just across the street from the mighty Mississippi it has amazing views of the river and you can hear live music when it is happening at Big Bouys Marina!
