Two-mile bike ride to State Beach for calmer waters, 3.5 to South Beach for waves and a stop at Morning Glory Farm on the way home. Pets considered. The space The house is a wonderful mix of town and country, privacy and convenience. It is airy and light, with original windows and an easy indoor-outdoor feel. It was built around 1830 by Oscar Pease, the ice cutter for Sheriff's pond, larger studio shed once housed his goats. Care has been taken to retain the place's original charm while updating with contemporary amenities and a collection of art and books. Please note that the floor plan is original. None of the bathrooms are en-suite and the front upstairs single is accessed through the primary bedroom. The back upstairs double can be accessed either through the bathroom or the primary. The downstairs double is a captain's bed. The backyard is secluded and peaceful, perfect for grilling and entertaining. At the end of a private lane, it's a wonderful summer retreat. The walking trail around the pond begins where the lane ends, and from there you can take a back trail to Eel Pond, and across to Fuller Street Beach. It is a short walk to town and a short drive or bike to multiple beaches. The kitchen is well-stocked, equipped with cooking and baking accessories, including an excellent blender and food processor. Savvy rest organic mattresses on queen and double, all beds extremely supportive and comfortable. Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Guest access Entire house and grounds for guests, with the exclusion of the two small sheds on the property. 2 parking spaces adjacent to smaller garden shed. Other things to note The catbirds in the backyard love raisins. They are total characters. Smart TV
