Stay in a renovated hilltop barn, with views of the fields and forests below. Visit our grass-finished cattle and goats, take a cooking or writing class, or enjoy farm-fresh dinner and breakfast. Or simply sit around the fire with old friends, go fishing, or take a walk in nature. We are a fifth-generation farm focused on sustainability. Our two+ bedrooms can accommodate friends, couples or families. It's the farm of your childhood dreams and the kind we want to preserve for the future. The space The Barn House is located on the property near our old farmhouse. The two bedrooms, one full bath, the kitchenette, and living area are located upstairs, with beautiful views of rolling pasture and our giant garden (from which we sell vegetables and fruits). Upstairs, the main room is a comfortable sitting area with couches and reclining chairs. Each bedroom features a 16-foot-high ceiling made of the original barn rafters. Guests have access to our large kitchen to make light meals and keep food chilled. Let us know if you would like to use the kitchen more during your stay. Guest access Guests have full use of the entire upstairs and can also use the downstairs bathroom and kitchen when not in use for classes. A large table downstairs is also available. Other things to note We have two dogs and three cats, all of whom are friendly. We also have beef, goat and vegetables available for purchase (and a book the host wrote about farming!). We are a functioning farm with cattle, goats, and vegetables. We therefore don't allow other people's pets on our property. You can learn more about our farm at Iowa-farm dot com.
