A large, 330 sq ft., sunny bedroom with separate sitting area, work space and your own modern bath in a historic home in the center of Amherst. Walk less than five minutes to coffee shops, restaurants, book store, shopping, entertainment and parks. Amherst College is a .3 mile (7 minute) walk through historic downtown, and the University of Massachusetts is .7 mile walk (14 minutes) past historic homes. NOTE: 2nd bed in living room is a Futon, opens to a twin size bed. The space The bedroom is on the main floor with windows on two walls and a separate entrance opening into the sunroom. The sunroom is shared. The orange futon may be used as a twin bed for an extra person at an additional charge of $25 per day. There is no carbon monoxide detector because the house is heated and air-conditioned with geothermal energy, and all appliances are electric. There is no gas coming into the house. Guest access Access is through a private locked entrance. The lock has a keypad and entry codes are individually provided to each guest prior to the arrival date. During your stay The host is available by phone and text to assist, answer questions and help address any issues that may arise. Other things to note Please note there is one queen bed and the second bed is a futon that can be opened and made into a bed. The futon is the orange sofa pictured in the photos. There are two cats. They do not enter the guest space, but they do use the shared spaces including the sunroom. Aslo, this space is not appropriate for babies or others with mobility challenges. There are five steps to access the sunroom from which you will enter. The house is a quiet space. All TVs, music, etc., should be turned off between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Please do not bring any illegal materials or guns into the house. Guests and parties are not allowed in the house.
