Fuji-San Hotel: Japanese Studio 20min from NYC

This small private studio has been designed like a traditional ryokan room you would find in Japan. Sleep on Authentic Tatami and Japanese Futons, Enjoy the Cozy Comfort of a Traditional Heated Kotatsu Table. Bus to NYC is 2 blocks away and Train Station with free parking is 1 mile away. There is a modern Fujitsu Minisplit to Cool & Heat the unit. The unit comes equipped with Anime and Netflix that can be enjoyed using the projector and pull down 120" screen. 行ってらっしゃい! The space This small studio space was inspired by my Wife and I’s trip to Japan and our climb atop Mt. Fuji. Being half-japanese myself, I hand-crafted the shoji screen windows and all the woodwork. The unit has a private entrance with a digital keypad lock for easy self-check-in. As in Japan, you will sleep on the floor on traditional Tatami and Futons. Guests over 6' may find their feet hang over the "short" japanese beds. Japanese Futons are quite firm. We have 2 memory foam mats in the closet, should you need to make the beds softer. There is a projector and pull down screen installed. There is a roku stick with Netflix as well as a blu-ray/DVD player. We have a collection of some of our favorite Japanese Films and Anime available for viewing. There is a Kotatsu (Japanese Heated Table) for use in the colder months. All the artwork on display in the unit has been made by local Japanese artists. Guests will also get access to one parking space in the driveway. Other things to note The space does not have a kitchen, but there is a mini-fridge, microwave, and keurig for your convenience.
