This beautiful estate, located on the highest point of the Kohala Waterfront community, boasts 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, the island of Maui and the volcanic peaks of the Big Island. Built with high vaulted ceilings and an open ranch style floor-plan, Hale Lani is the perfect Big Island getaway for couples and families looking for a peaceful setting and spectacular sunset views. The spacious pool deck is the perfect place to sip coffee or BBQ and watch the winter humpback whales leaping into the air. Hale Lani is built above a coastal cove that is popular with migrating whales, so guests staying between December and March should expect a front-row seat to near-constant whale activity. The open-air design of the home uses large glass sliding doors which can be opened to the lanai for an indoor-outdoor living experience. You will also love the comfort and spaciousness of the artistically designed three-bedroom interior. Each bedroom boasts extra comfortable mattresses, AC, full bathrooms, and spaciousness for ultimate privacy and intimate moments, while the communal spaces host plenty of room and all of the amenities needed for a perfect Big Island vacation. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for your use along with a washer and dryer and your own parking space in the garage. Our resort office is located at the Mauna Lani Terrace and is open daily from 9:00am - 5:00pm. We are available for guests who need assistance, have questions or would like recommendations for activities, beaches, restaurants, services, etc. We are also available after-hours to assist in case of a property-related emergency. A car rental is HIGHLY recommended, public transportation & taxi service is limited. TA-135-603-1488-01 Other things to note The State of Hawaii requires that we collect 17.962% tax in 2025 and 18.712% in 2026 on the rent and additional fees (which should be INCLUDED in the price). Tax rates are based on the dates of your stay and guests are responsible to pay all applicable taxes levied by the local authorities should there be a change.
