So, in the non-summer months, high tide 🌊 and / or excessive precipitation 🌧️ can cause the water levels to rise quite a bit, bringing the waterfront much closer to the cottage. It’s perfectly normal for our location, to be expected, and nothing at all to be worried about. We understand that it might catch guests off guard, though, so want to provide a heads up. We're both from the East Coast (NY and MA, respectively) with family on and near the Cape. We wanted to establish a home in this incredibly special place so we purchased and renovated what is now Pearl Cottage! For us, this home is more than just a vacation rental - it holds pieces of our story, and the hope that others might find rest, joy, and healing here too. This isn’t just a business - it’s something more personal. We try to do things a little differently: we deeply appreciate our guests and their stories, we pour intention into every detail, and we believe in giving back to the place that has given us so much. That’s why we donate 1% of our net income each year to local nonprofits through the Cape Cod Foundation. We offer contactless check-in and there are parking spots for 3 cars. Early check-in and late check-out are available per request and granted, if feasible. Other things to note **Pet 🐕 Policy:** We love pets and welcome your dogs with open arms! At this time, we do not allow cats or any other pets during your stay. We allow two dogs maximum per stay. The cost is $30 per night per dog and there is a maximum combined dog weight of 80 lbs.
