This site is on top of flat hill with great view, prepared for a group of campers who want to stay together to enjoy the wonderful nature and celebrations. It allows more people and vehicles. Come and enjoy the wonderful natural beauties and it's healing powers! We are open year around for you to enjoy Four seasons world excitement: Springs, Summers, Falls and of course winters!! This campsite is located on a fenced land peninsula in the Lake Red Rock with hills and ponds. The sites are surrounded with three private fishing ponds. It is about 50 miles from Des Moines. The site is within a 40 acres fenced land with three private ponds for fishing and 10-acre tree area for hiking. It is quiet and peaceful. The site is perfect for tent snd self contained RV camping. We provide water at the gate. This site have a fire pit with a tripod for food cooking, a picnic table and a solar light. Water tap is near the entrance, not at each site. For RVs, you can add water before you enter the gate. This site is on top of flate hills with a beautiful view of ponds and lake. It is perfect to watch beautiful sunsets. The are also a lot to do nearby. The Whitebreast Beach (open during May to September, $5 per carload), Red Rock Lake boat ramp, Historic Coal Ridge Church, Stu Kuyper hiking trail and the Youth park are within a mile. This campsites are perfect for family relaxing camping reunion, group Van-camping, road trip stops, friends gathering, or come and stay for local events in the nearby cities, such as in Des Moines, Newton, Pella (Tulip Time), Knoxville (car race, sky diving), Oskaloosa, Monroe, Pleasantville, Indianola etc.. You will need bug repellent during summer. We do not use any chemicals on site. Ticks are common during late spring and earlier summer in grassy areas and woods, but not usually found during Fall and Winter. There may be hunting gun sounds near or far during hunting seasons, but absolutely no hunting activities in our camping ground. Guest access You will drive to the site and park at the site. Other things to note You will have a large open space.
