Piney Woods A-Frame is a cozy rustic cabin tucked away from it all to give you the solitude you've been craving. This is the prefect place for a couples get away, a girls’ weekend, a fishing trip, or just a solo escape. Outdoor lovers will get the best of both worlds here- escape to a cabin in the woods while also being right on the water! Water levels are back to normal so you can enjoy taking out the kayaks! There’s stocked firewood for campfires, board games, & propane for grilling! The space This 1970s a-frame has been updated to give you the modern touches of home but still has the old cabin charm. The cabin sits on 1 acre with lots of outdoor space to hang out. You’ll follow a winding dirt road for almost a mile until you get to the house. The inside is small but cozy with a loft upstairs and a pull out sofa downstairs. (Pull out has a brand new thicker topper provided that is stored behind the couch.)The kitchen has everything you need to cook almost any meal. There is a propane grill plus a charcoal grill (charcoal not provided.) For those looking to fish- Gill's Ferry Boat Launch is just minutes away, a small covered boat slip (fits smaller fishing boats) provided plus a fish cleaning table & sink. If you bring a dog, there is not a fence so owners are responsible for pets staying on property. One long lead is provided to keep dogs on property if needed. Other things to note Please remember you are in the woods & on the water plus it's Louisiana. I spray the property as often as I possibly can but there are bugs & critters all around. I ask them nicely not to go inside the cabin, but sometimes they don’t always listen. Don't forget the bug spray for mosquitos! My favorite part of the woods is all the different birds, ducks, owls & other wildlife you get to see and hear here. No sound machine needed at night time! There are armadillos, opossums, snakes, alligators, squirrels, mice & plenty of other critters outside!
