Lower Madison Valley - Buffalo Jump Guest House
Enjoy peace, recreation, and stunning views in the Lower Madison River Valley.
Description
Experience the same breathtaking rivers, mountains, and ranch country that inspired Taylor Sheridan’s series The Madison. The Buffalo Jump Guest House is a cozy tiny house located on the Madison Buffalo Jump hillside of the Lower Madison Valley, a backdrop in The Madison. Guests love using our place as a launchpad to recreate, fish on 4 famous rivers, or soak up peace in wide-open Montana vibes. Located 4 miles from, I-90 for easy access to many Montana destinations, activities, and restaurants. The space The Buffalo Jump Guest House comes with a fully stocked kitchen, ¾ bath, refrigerator, microwave, electric range with convection/air-fry capabilities, washer/dryer and high-speed internet. The house comfortably sleeps 4 between the full-sized bed and in the bedroom and a queen-sized sofa sleeper in the living area. Bedding for the sofa sleeper includes a down featherbed and down comforter (during the winter)/lightweight soft blankets (over summer months). Blackout blinds and curtains are installed in the bedroom and living area, except for the main entry door. The living area has a smart tv with many viewing applications, a cozy couch to cuddle up on in front of an electric fireplace. The table height and width adjust from coffee table to dining table or work area. The patio area features an outdoor dining set for 4 and a Weber gas grill. There is also a bistro dining set for 2 on the deck. Parking is available for 2 vehicles. We highly recommend experiencing the peaceful Madison River Valley, even if you don't fish. Camp chairs and a cooler are available to guests to take on day trips. I highly recommend sitting a camp chair in the river and soaking your feet in the Madison River at one of the nearby fishing accesses while enjoying a cold refreshment. Other things to note Wildlife is a daily occurrence with our resident deer, meadowlarks, mountain blue birds, raptors, and critters of all sizes. Elk, moose, bear, and mountain goats have been seen traveling through. The house sits at the bottom of limestone rock cliffs, once used by Native Americans to harvest buffalo. Views also overlook one of the sets for the Yellowstone TV Series spinoffs, 1923. Enjoy the views of the rock bluffs (once used by Native Americans to harvest buffalo), the breathtaking serene sunsets over farmed fields of the Lower Madison River Valley and the Tabacco Root Mountains. With minimal neighboring homes and very little light pollution, you can star gaze into the night. There are many fine dining and recreation opportunities available within miles of the Buffalo Jump Guest House. The Madison Buffalo Jump State Park and Headwaters State Park are rich in history and culture, both within a few minutes’ drive. The Lower Madison River is a fly-fishing destination with several fishing accesses within 10 miles. The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, bustling downtown Bozeman, Museum of the Rockies, Bridger Ski Area, Big Sky Resort, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Bozeman Hotsprings, Norris Hot Springs, and many other outdoor recreation sites are a quick drive away. Yellowstone National Park is more of a day trip. If you’re looking to get away from busy, highly-populated areas, this is the spot for you! Local attractions are a quick drive away. The host’s home is just up the hill (150 yards), but far enough away that the guest home has much privacy. If amenities that you are looking for are not listed, please ask.
