Charming Riverfront Cottage

We are a 2 bdrm, 1 bath cottage on a peaceful cove of the Connecticut River. Enjoy bird life, water views and magical sunsets in this nature lovers’ paradise. Bright and airy throughout. Fully equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms on the first floor, with a loft space for reading, enjoying the view or doing work. We've provided 2 touring kayaks (longer/heavier than other kayaks) in the shed. We recommend at least one strong person and bring water shoes (the bottom is yucky)! The space Bright and airy, yet very cozy cottage with open floor plan. Fully furnished with a well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, full bath with washer and dryer, dining area, and living room with TV on first floor. One bedroom has a queen the other has two twin beds. Living room, kitchen, dining area and loft all feature river views. House has air conditioning and heating via 2 zone mini split heat pump with one air handler on the first floor and another in the loft. Spiral stairway leads to loft area featuring a dedicated work space, cozy reading area and TV area with futon couch. The loft is not a bedroom but the futon couch can be used as a bed. The loft cannot be seen into from other areas of the home. High speed internet (wi-fi) throughout. You can enjoy a morning beverage looking out over the water - you will probably spot lots of wildlife and birds! This is an amazing spot for nature lovers. There are great hikes and lots of attractions in the surrounding areas as well. There is river access from the back yard but we are on a cove and the river bottom is definitely muddy and has plant growth - great for kayaking but not recommended for wading/swimming. We use keyless entry with a Nest Doorbell on the front door and a Nest Camera on the back of the house which faces the river and shed. There is a TV in the living room and another one in the loft. Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. Our only check out instructions are just wash any dishes that were used. Please ALWAYS keep dogs leashed and cleaned up after on property and when walking. Guest access The entire home. Other things to note Two grocery stores (Shop & Shop/Big Y) approximately 5 minute drive from cottage. Easy access to 91 and Mass Turn Pike. Close to Northampton, Amherst, Springfield, Holyoke, the five colleges (UMass, Amherst College, Smith College, Mount Holyoke College and Hampshire College) as well as area hospitals and attractions.
