The space Bright and tidy with everything needed for a fun and relaxing short visit or extended stay! 1 bedroom with a new Queen memory foam mattress (2023), 100% cotton sheets, new in bedroom powerful air conditioning, yoga mats and other conveniences to make you feel right at home. The bathroom has a rain shower, bathtub, fresh cotton bath towels, turkish cotton beach towels and other essentials well stocked. The sunny, open concept living area has air conditioning (brand new split AC 2023), a flat screen smart television, cable tv with free on demand shows/movies & unlimited wifi. The living room also has a daybed with a single/twin memory foam mattresses which can be used for extra sleeping space. The kitchen is well equipped and complete with a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, crockpot, rice cooker and Keurig coffee maker. There is plenty of dish ware and cooking utensils for small or large meals. You can dine inside, or out on the lanai with beautiful peekaboo ocean views overlooking sunny Ku’au. The lanai is stocked for your use with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, kids sand toys, snorkel gear, a cooler (with ice packs chilling in the freezer for your convenience) and boogie boards. While we love to host families, we don’t recommend this condo for those with very young kids. The condo is on the 3rd floor and there isn’t an elevator. You must walk up 3 flights of outdoor stairs which can make it very difficult when using a stroller or carrying little ones, and all of the gear they may require. We hire a well managed, professional cleaning service and take pride in paying a living wage. The entire cleaning fee is paid to our wonderful, local, small business cleaning crew. *We don’t include the cleaning fee in our nightly rate as it would make longer stays more expensive for our guests. Other things to note Noise: Guests please note this building is located along Hana Hwy. There is some road noise to be expected. We have a ceiling fan and portable A/C in the bedroom to help drown out road noise. Extremely sensitive sleepers may want to book other accommodations. The building has quiet hours from 10pm-8am. Accessibility: This unit is on the 3rd story which makes for beautiful views of the ocean and Haleakala but has walk up access only. Please be advised that there is NO ELEVATOR. Weather: While Maui is known for its beautiful, warm and sunny weather, we cannot guarantee that the weather will be favorable during your stay. Maui has a dry and rainy season, and this affects areas of the island differently. It can be very hot and humid at times and rainy, windy and chilly at others. One of the many benefits of Maui is that it has many microclimates. One area may be raining with high winds and another may be sunny and pleasant at the same time. This is great because you can usually drive to another part of the island to find weather to suit your comfort at any given time. As with many tropical climates, the weather can change quickly. It can be very warm and sunny but rain can still come thru quickly. It is uncommon for the entire island to have unfavorable weather at the same time, but it can and does happen. Hurricane watches/warnings are infrequent but do happen as well. We will do everything in our power to prepare the condo for a safe and pleasant stay but be aware that weather on the Islands can be unpredictable and change quickly. Please be prepared and willing to adjust plans as needed during your stay. Pests: Hawaii has lots of bugs as the climate is tropical. You will definitely encounter different bugs on the island. We have pest control for our building, which helps keeps the bugs away. Luxury hotels encounter bugs entering and so do we at times. That’s just life in Hawaii, whether visiting or living here. It’s one of the trade offs for being on such a beautiful Island, but it’s worth it! Closet Access: Half of the closet in the bedroom is locked and used for hosting supplies. The other half is open and for your use as a guest. There is also built in open shelving in the bedroom and bathroom for your use. Safety: Maui does encounter petty theft and more unusually car theft. It is advised to NOT leave valuables in your car or anywhere not supervised. Always lock all car doors.
