It's been my home for over 40 years where I and all my long time neighbors have been and raised our families. I'm happy to welcome and share it with you as well. The House: Turn of the century, updated classic Boston Triple Decker has three equally unique bedrooms available in this shared co-living apartment. You will share the kitchen, bathroom with 2 other housemates in the apartment. In building laundry in the basement. 5-10 mins walk to the T (Fairmount Line & 4+ bus routes), 1-2 stops to South Station city center. The Room: A well balanced blend of modern and warm design, but it's well appointed with: ➤ light filled sunny south facing bay windows ➤ a comfortable full size bed ➤ workstation desk w/ plenty of drawers ➤ cozy sofa to read by the windows or watch TV ➤ integrated Roku smart TV for whichever subscription you may have (HBO, Netflix, Prime, Youtube, etc) ➤ Solid and fast WiFi, along with an included WiFi hotspot for internationals The bedroom is located on a 1st floor apartment overlooking the south facing front street. Though it's filled with direct sun light all day, there's also solid window shades to block the sun and for privacy. Well designed for 1 guest only and for long term stays. Northeastern University – 1.3 miles 20 min via #15 Bus 11 min via Bike 8 min via Uber / Lyft Closest Hospitals: Longwood Medical Area (Brigham & Woman's, Beth Israel Deaconess, Boston Children's Hospital, etc) - 2.3 mile 35 min via #8 Bus or #15 Bus 18 min via Bike 15 min via Uber / Lyft Boston Medical Center / Boston University Medical School – 1 mile 13 min via #8 or #10 Bus 21 min via Walk 6 min via Uber / Lyft Mass General Hospital – 3.4 miles 38 min via Subway 30 min via Bike 16 min via Uber / Lyft Dedicated kitchen pantry (color coordinated blue for just your personal use of cups, mugs, bowls, plates, pans and utensils), fridge, kitchen and an indoor 3 seasons veranda + an open outdoor veranda. In building laundry in the basement. We're social and hospitable hosts who loves to share our family home with others. My son was born and raised in this home, went to university down the road at Northeastern and so with plenty of knowledge we'd would be more than happy to help. My nephew & his wife live upstairs (so please feel free to say hi if you cross paths with them), and we're alway usually around if you ever needed anything. While we've always close by and available, you can have your space as well. Our neighborhood retains much of its old Boston diverse roots today still as an affordable working class residential area predominately with a rich mix of Italian, Irish, Cape Verdean, Dominican, Puerto Rican immigrants along with African Americans. But at the same time as the area is up and coming there are some great new additions walking distance away as well such Dorchester Brewing Company, Bully Boy and a co-working space just around the corner to name a few. The city has changed so much, but it's great everyone here on our street has been in their homes and part of this community which ties it together going back over 40+ years. Logan Airport ✈: Take the Silver Line bus (SL1) at the airport to South Station. Switch to Red Line subway at South Station, go outbound to JFK / UMass station. Then take the 41 bus. Walk 3 mins from the Dudley St @ E Cottage St bus stop to the house. 1 hr. Uber / Lyft is the easiest way to and from the Airport, which takes 15-35 mins depending on traffic. T (train/subway/bus) : Fairmont train line to South Station runs right by the house with Newmarket and Uphams Corner stations equal distance way, 7 mins walk. Andrews and JFK Redline subway stations are 20 mins walk away. Buses 15, 10, 41, 16, 45, and 8 are all 2-8 mins walk away from the house. Bikes: In the city we have Bluebikes public bike share program, $6 for a 24 hour pass or $12 for a 72 hour pass. I highly recommend this as a way to easily get around. Right at the Newmarket T, station outside you'll see these bikes. Personal bikes are not allowed inside, but there's back yard and inside porch storage options. Walk : 5-10 minutes walk to local bodegas, pizza shops, mom & pop Cape Verdean/Hispanic eats, local neighborhood classic Ideal's Sub Shop, a co-working space & Boston's largest community center. 15 minutes walking distance to the shopping center with many places like Starbucks, Panera Bread, brand new movie theater, shopping, restaurants and more at South Bay Center. Parking : Plenty of free on street non permitted parking usually right next to the house. Uber / Lyft : Very dependable and recommended compared to taxis which can unfortunately have terrible service, so I don't recommend taxis. Uber / Lyft is the easiest way to and from the Airport, which takes 15-35 mins depending on traffic. ➤ The house is actually as it seems in the photos everyday; well maintained common spaces, so I simply ask guests to clean after themselves to leave the common space in order. ➤ The bedroom is part of a 3 bedroom apartment, and shares a common bathroom & kitchen with 2 other bedrooms. Shared areas are cleaned several times per week, fresh sheets/towel provide weekly & complimentary biweekly room cleaning is provided. In building laundry for personal use in the basement. ➤ The room is located on the 1st floor apartment of the building, at the front by the street. Though it's a residential neighborhood, it's still the city so there will be general background city noise. Since it's an apartment in an older building so there may be faint general noise from adjoining units & rooms so we ask everyone to be considerate. 1 Guest total maximum Cleaning Fee: $50 Our area is safe, but this is the city, and anything can happen anywhere at any time so I always like to tell people to have common sense in their travels throughout the whole city. We are 10-15mins walking distance to many places like Starbucks, AMC movie theater, shopping, restaurants, Shop and Shop supermarket, etc at South Bay Center and ~$8 Uber / Lyft ride to the downtown city center which is 2 miles away. How far is the house from your desired destination? You can use our nearby train station Uphams Corner station or Newmarket station (both equal distance from the house, 7 mins walk) shown in the 14th and 15th photos as frame of reference in your map searches. ➤ Bikes are not allowed inside the apartment, but there's back yard and inside porch storage options.
