Lovely one bedroom home conveniently located on the first floor of the Royal Kahana Resort with a view of the ocean and pool from the lanai. This oceanfront resort is one of Maui’s best-kept secrets. We clean and sanitize the property before each guest arrives. The home has everything you would come to expect in a vacation home including renovated kitchen with full amenities, bathroom and shower, in unit washer / dryer, free HS Wifi, and flat screen TVs with cable access. Bedroom: King Bed | Living Room: Full Pullout Bed Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, wine fridge, 2 flat-screen cable TVs, free WiFi with downloads of over 20 Mbps, central air conditioning, in-unit washer and dryer, optional daily cleaning, private furnished lanai overlooking the ocean, and much more. The condo is just 50 ft from the ocean through the lanai or the front door (no elevator needed). The unit includes other amenities such as: beach towels, beach bag, an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Regarding security and responsiveness to onsite issues there is an on site property manager that is two doors down from our unit and the manager is on duty during business hours. They can help with things like a water line break, power outage or some kind of medical emergency. There is also a security officer on site in the front lobby. In addition, we have a house keeper on island. He is available for optional daily cleaning and you can call him for other issues such as additional towels or linens or if a special cleanup is needed. I can reach out to whomever you may need and arrange for you to get what you need. The emergency numbers such as dentists, hospitals, etc are in the kitchen area. The Royal Kahana has a large oceanfront swimming pool, BBQ area, complete on-site fitness room, a popular shuffle board court, ping pong table and an onsite Aloha Activities Center Concierge. Don't miss it! Across the street is Kahana Gateway Plaza, a small shopping mall with several great shops and restaurants including the Maui Brewing Co., Hawaiian Village Coffee, Maui Dive Shop, Whaler's convenience store, McDonalds and several other shops. Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua are minutes away, as are many world class beaches. D T Fleming beach is just north and has been voted one of the best beaches in the world. Visit active Lahaina, a hot spot for whaling history, contemporary art, and late-night fun. At Kaanapali Beach Resort, people-watch at Whalers Village, always full with beach activity. Discover nature-made Kapalua Resort, a stunning sanctuary of beautiful bays, walking trails, Championship golf at both the Kapalua Golf Course (home of the annual SBS PGA Tour Championship) and the Royal Kaanapali Golf Club. We recommend Kapalua Beach in the early mornings for the best snorkeling thats only 5 minutes away by car. If you need equipment there is a Snorkel Bobs across the street from our home or you can buy a set of equipment at the Times supermarket. Welcome the sun on a morning stroll along the ocean and enjoy ocean views from open-air lanai. Marvel at humpback whales slapping and rolling so close to shore December through April! Enjoy the visit from the Green Sea Turtles who frequent our area. The beach fronting the Royal Kahana is undergoing renourishment during the next few years. It is not uncommon that the currents sweep away a very large amount of sand especially in the fall and winter but some of the sand may gradually return back in spring and summer. Thus, there may be no or limited access to the beach during this process. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential. This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. There is beach access within a 5 minute walk / 1 min drive at Pohaku Park. Our guests' safety is of the utmost concern for us. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Tour Packages - I have heard Valley Isle Excursions is a good choice for tours such as The Road to Hana. Their website says they pickup and drop off at the Royal Kahana. There is a lot of information about their tours on their site. - Community amenities include a heated swimming pool, Paid parking on premises, several BBQ Stations, fitness center, meeting rooms, ping pong table, on site building management, on site security, concierge services and more! - Tranquil location right on Kahana Bay! - Nearby access to the beach with swimming and sunbathing. The area also includes walking trails, sightseeing, golf, restaurants, shops and resorts! - For fun activities I would take in a luau if this is your first trip. We've been to Maui Nui Luau at the Sheraton and were very happy with the food and the show. There are two ways to see the show - dinner and show OR show with cocktails only. - For snorkeling I recommend Kapalua Bay Beach which is about 5 mins north from the condo.
