Mana Kai 608 is a remodeled oceanfront condo on Keawakapu beach!! Located right on the border of Wailea and South Kihei. Our remodel is designed with a modern surf vibe in mind, we are excited to share it with you! If you enjoy the amenities of Wailea's 5-star resorts but crave a kitchen, less fees, or don't want to cross the street or drive to get to a beach, come stay with us! We have hired the best Property Manager in Maui, Tracy O'Reilly to take care of our guests. Mana Kai 608 is an oceanfront condo, directly on the border of Wailea and South Kihei. Situated on the 6th floor, high above and room for 6 guests! This area is called South Maui and is not located in an area near Lahaina, it is 45 minutes south of Lahaina. The pool and beaches are open as are the restaurants and grocery stores. Activities are all still operating. Fortunately, this area was unaffected by any wildfire activity. Maui welcomes visitors and by coming to the island you can play a crucial part in helping to keep Maui's local businesses, families and economy afloat during this recovery time. Mana Kai 608: Mana Kai sits on the most ideal location on Maui on the most desirable beach "Keawakapu". This area is the sunniest spot on Maui and direct access to both Wailea and Kihei, and 5 minutes to beautiful Makena and Makena Landing! Enjoy an easy 15 minute ride from airport which is nice after a long flight. South Maui is located 45 minutes from "West Maui" or the areas of Kaanapali and Lahaina and a similar distance to "Upcountry" or Kula and the areas up and around the volcano Haleakala. Mana Kai 608 has earned the coveted “Guest Favorite” badge on Airbnb. “Guest Favorites” are a global collection of the most-loved homes on Airbnb, according to guests. “Guest Favorites” are based on ratings, reviews, and reliability data from over half a billion trips. These special homes feature a badge in both search and on the listing details page. It is the highest award a property can receive. 808 General Store in open at Mana Kai! This locally owned family business is known for its award-winning scrumptious sandwiches and salads, they also own 808 Deli and 808 on Main on Maui. This location also offers grocery items including adult and kid beverages, reef safe sunscreen, beach toys and more! Things you may have left off your packing list. This store and deli is oceanfront where Zack's Deli previously resided, right next to Surf Shack! Exciting News! The acclaimed Hawaii restaurant group Merriman’s will be opening a farm to table restaurant "Moku Kitchen" at Mana Kai! They also own Monkeypod. It will be oceanfront where 5 Palms was previously located and renovations began in 2023. And not to worry, no shortage of nearby locally owned restaurants while it's being renovated! Mana Kai is situated within a 2-minute uber ride, drive, bike or even walk to dozens of restaurants right there in Kihei and Wailea. Mana Kai 608 is located on the 2nd to highest building level, not in a condo situated immediately over restaurant. We have discounted the rates for the inconvenience of our guests not being able to access the restaurant and any potential noise. It's a great time to take advantage of the reduced rates! As owners, we often stay in our condo when our valued guests are not staying there. We have put systems in place to keep our guests as safe as possible. The safety and well-being of our guests at Mana Kai 608 is very important to us! Enhanced disinfecting procedures for Mana Kai 608 are in place. We have our own professional cleaning team individually hired by us the owners and Tracy, our privately contracted Maui Property Manager to take care of our Mana Kai 608 guests. For no additional charge, this two- tier cleaning, disinfecting and air out process will be done after each guest leaves. OK, now back to the fun stuff.... Mana Kai is a legal vacation rental and the perfect Maui location because it's on the ocean smack dab in-between Kihei and Wailea. Why is this nice? You get the best beaches Maui has to offer and the best of what Kihei and Wailea have to offer. You will be super close to dozens of restaurants, the Wailea shops, The Wailea Tennis Club (which is fantastic and super low key), and many golf courses. Dozens of restaurants near by from fine dining to delicious food trucks. Keawakapu Beach is a highly sought after beach for visitors to Maui due to its incredible clarity and world class snorkeling, white sand bottom and gentle enough waves for all ages and water sports activities. No need to pack up and walk down the road to the beach or try to find a parking spot at the beaches, or be on a beach with endless rows of umbrellas and chairs. Staying here you can enjoy all the incredible beauty on sand and in the water that Maui has to offer right beneath your feet. We can truly offer a turnkey vacation for you and your friends/ family without having to even leave the property! Mana Kai has the on site amenities you see at nearby resorts with the convenience of being a condo. Mana Kai 608 is situated with better views, bigger lanais and even CLOSER to the water than you get at the "oceanfront" or "ocean view" style hotel room types down the beach in Wailea. Our local Maui Property Manager, Tracy O'Reilly, will provide incredible service and responsiveness. We feel very fortunate to partner with Tracy, she is an EXPERIENCED SUPER HOST that has been with Airbnb since 2009 and has a proven track record of thousands of 5-Star reviews plus she has earned the coveted SUPER HOST status over 40 consecutive times. You are in great hands with Tracy! Ok, back to the condo itself! During your stay in Mana Kai 608, you will be cooled by ocean breezes and commanding sunset and ocean views. It features a private balcony with the sound of the waves every single night in your ocean view bedroom. It also includes 3 ceiling fans and 2 brand new A/C units to keep you completely comfortable and cool while in Maui. It is a 2BR/2BA condo with full kitchen and 2 private and attached full bathrooms. New beds in each of the bedrooms including a queen sized sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress in the living room. The mattress on the sofa bed is 59” x 71”. We also provide memory foam pillows to guests as an option (located in upper closet of master bedroom) for the ultimate sleep comfort. Guests will drift off to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves and fresh breeze. Ahhh.. sleep is calling. Mana Kai Unit 608 has a private lanai, plus AMAAAAAZING ocean views. it is located in the coveted center of the building among the highest view floors. Direct beach access as well as a heated, private, oceanfront, salt water pool which is a rarity in Maui. The pool is a great option for taking a refreshing dip while enjoying views and sounds of the ocean. There is also a private, beautiful grassy area with lounge chairs and a shower to rinse off before heading back up to condo. Spend relaxing days soaking up the Maui sunshine as well as action packed days at the beach as you swim, lounge, boogie board, surf, fish, paddle board, scuba dive, kayak, beachcomb, yoga, walk/run along the beach, whale watch, boat, and/or snorkel. We provide some beach gear including beach chairs, umbrellas, metal hydroflasks with screw tops (PERFECT to keep drinks cold all day in the sun), (cute and colorful) beach towels, metal wine tumblers, hard and soft coolers, beach bags. We often also have a waterproof fannypack and often times a football or 2 in the beach gear closet for guests. We happily stock AMPLE laundry detergent, dish soap, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee, coffee filters. In addition, we provide "starter kit" supplies in each bathroom and the main kitchen. Upon arrival, you will find 6 fresh rolls of toilet paper (3 per bathroom) and 1 fresh roll of paper towels for the kitchen. This will be enough to get you "started". Our goal by providing "starter kits" for household paper products is to prevent the necessity for you to have to shop for these items during your first couple of days in paradise; after all, you are on vacation. We also provide useful items like an iron and ironing board, hairdryers, For easy charging of devices, we provide USB charging ports in every room, binoculars, and even a Bluetooth speaker so you can play your favorite music. Please note that the number of guests is a maximum total of 6 which also includes infants. ~ Last but not least, we have proudly partnered up with a local vendor offering Maui activities, adventures, and experiences at incredibly low and affordable prices, saving our guests even more money. You will be mere minutes away from other 5-star resorts and additional great beaches, restaurants, shopping, and ocean activities. Mana Kai Resort is located directly on Keawakapu Beach and is definitely considered one of the best beaches in all of Maui and on the entire Wailea coastline. The Kihei boat ramp is one block away. There are numerous snorkel and dive excursions that launch from this popular boat ramp every single morning offering options that include exploring the coral reefs at Molokini or swimming with the turtles at Turtle Town. Nearby beach options are also plentiful. Kamaole Beach Parks I, II, and III are great for families as the waves are usually fairly gentle plus there are lifeguards seven days a week. Ulua Beach in Wailea is just minutes away and is also one of the most popular snorkeling and scuba diving beaches on the south side of the island. If you are looking for big waves, Big Beach (or Makena State Park) is about a 10 minute drive from your condo. If you want to try your hand at surfing, there is a popular beginner's surfing beach located at Cove Park on South Kihei Road less than five minutes away. You could even sign up for surfing lessons. There is a tennis club and 80 holes of championship golfing minutes away. This location truly has it all! With countless captivating beaches, near-perfect weather year-round, and panoramic views everywhere you look, it’s hard to argue that Hawaii is anything other than a tropical island oasis! The Hawaiian Islands are incredibly unique, unlike anywhere else in the world. That is clearly evident in everything from our breathtaking scenery to our all-encompassing Aloha spirit! Maui has been voted the "Best Island in the World" for over 23 years. With daytime temperatures ranging from roughly 85 degrees F during the winter, it's easy to see why Maui is such a popular destination choice and the #1 island in the world. Here’s why I think the South side of the island (where Kihei is located) is the best place to stay. South Maui really has it all! ;) The sunny South shores of Kihei offer 6 miles of popular, sun kissed beaches with warm, balmy days and cool, tropical nights. Typically, humidity levels in Kihei are VERY LOW and the annual rainfall in Kihei is LESS than anywhere else on island. :) Kihei is a sizable beach town with plenty of places to eat and fun things to do. Kihei is definitely the hub for Maui surf lessons and is considered the true pivoting point for all of Maui’s popular outdoor activities. Most of the accommodation options in Kihei will be condos with full kitchens (enabling you to save even more money if you choose to cook a couple meals at home). Kihei is definitely less crowded and more affordable than the West side. The beaches in Kihei are more plentiful, also less crowded, and quite a bit more accessible than those on the West side. You will definitely find more parking and better marked beaches in South Maui. In addition, most of the beaches in Kihei can be seen right from the road and Kihei offers totally free parking unlike the West side. ;) Kihei is closer to Haleakala (hiking), the road to Hana, Iao Valley, and the airport than the West side. Kihei is more private, intimate, and affordable than the West side. Kihei is also closer to Paia, Makawao, Upcountry, Kahului, and Maalaea than the West side. Kihei has the least amount of rain of anywhere on Island and is more laid back. It is not only drier but it is also sunnier. ;) Kihei Boat Ramp is only a couple of miles from the condo. There are numerous snorkel and dive excursions that launch from this popular boat ramp every single morning offering options that include exploring the coral reefs at Molokini or swimming with the turtles at Turtle Town. Within a few miles from the condo you will also discover additional white sand beaches, fun ocean activities, several parks, loads of restaurants, groceries, shopping, banks, ATM machines, live entertainment, skate parks, basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, diving, yoga centers, the Kihei Town Shopping Center, the Kihei Boat Ramp, Farmer’s Markets, dance clubs, live music, nightclubs/bars, Craft Fairs, and even several open-air Maui Marketplaces. Hop in the car at the condo for a very short drive (a couple of minutes) to three, world class, championship golf courses as well as the popular and breathtaking Wailea resort area offering upscale shopping, incredible sightseeing, and romantic dining options. Higher end resorts like Four Seasons, Andaz, Grand Wailea, and Kealani are all in Wailea which is just a couple miles away. Wailea also has an award winning spa at the Grand Wailea (best spa in Maui). Wailea is a resort community just south of Kihei that includes several mega beachfront resorts, some nice condo complexes, world class restaurants, and an upscale outdoor mall. The whole area is extremely lush and artistically manicured and looks just like the Hawaii of your dreams. When I’ve driven people down to Wailea after seeing other parts of the island, they’ve said “now THIS is truly PARADISE and what I envisioned all of Maui to look like.” To me, Wailea is the epitome of luxury. ;) The Shops at Wailea is the nicest shopping center in Maui and it is only a couple miles away from the condo (very upscale). A few more miles South in the car and you will discover the world renowned Makena area, where many famous people choose to reside. Lahaina and Ka’anapali (West side) are a one hour drive from the main airport, and Kihei is only 15 minutes. In addition, the condo is only 12 miles away from the main airport in Kahului. ;) Finally, worth mentioning, is the fact that there is only “one road in and one road out” for the West side of the Island. When that road gets shut down due to a car accident, you will be trapped for hours and hours (sometimes even overnight). This is one more reason why I always choose Kihei over the West side. :) Maui has been voted the "Best Island in the World" for over 23 years. With daytime temperatures ranging from roughly 85 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter, it's easy to see why Maui is such a popular destination choice and the #1 island in the world. Hawaii is absolutely paradise, and arguably, one of the most gorgeous states in the country. The islands have it all – pristine beaches, phenomenal sunsets, striking waterfalls, and majestic mountains. It is no wonder why so many visitors flock to the islands. I recommend renting a car in Maui because there is a lot to see and do in Paradise. :) We are HAPPY to offer a totally FREE, reserved parking spot for you at the resort. We also have “Maui Bus”. ~ The “Maui Bus” doesn't go everywhere and isn't as convenient. If you do choose the bus as your primary source of transportation, there is a bus stop within a couple blocks from the entrance to the resort. :) Although taxis, Lyft, and Uber are readily available on the Island, they tend to be quite spendy. This is why I recommend renting a car. This property is professionally managed by a Super Host! Super easy and "lightning fast" check in: just enter your "secret code" and open the door. Even faster checkout, just close the door behind you. This is a LEGAL vacation rental. As a special bonus, mid stay cleans are available for an additional fee if you're interested. All information is conveniently displayed inside your condo. After booking, always remember to consult your local insurance provider about the benefits of travel insurance. Due to our property cleaners’ schedules and our regularly scheduled condo maintenance items, early check-ins and late checkouts cannot be accommodated at this time. Almost all of our bookings are back to back (same day in, same day out) which makes things trickier. If you have a late flight out or an early flight in, we highly recommend that you consider booking an extra night if it’s available to better accommodate your flight schedule if you want to arrive early or depart late. Thank you in advance for your kind understanding. Owner’s Closet: There is a very small, locked Owner’s Closet inside the condo where owner’s store a few of their personal belongings.
