Close to PVD, Unique B&B, Exceptional Breakfast!
This listing is for a 1 bedroom stay in my 1870's rural farmhouse B&B. There are 3 cozy bedrooms total, just 15 minutes from Providence. Located in a country setting- an eclectic mix of antique and modern with all the amenities. Breakfast is the highlight, featuring home baked delectables fresh from the oven PLUS my farm fresh eggs. The yard offers formal gardens, trees carved into Caryatids, and other follies. A charmed spot!! Guests must be dog-friendly as a medium size dog is on premises. This unique 1870's Greek Revival home stands on the former "Ingalls-Wheeler-Horton Homestead site" c. 1730 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Surrounded by field and forest the five acre grounds offer a serene oasis. With its fruit- bearing trees, shrubs, vines and vegetable gardens, the gardens are abundant, while during the off season the wood burning stove beckons. This is a four bedroom house and there are three bedrooms available. All rooms have comfortable full size beds with bureaus, wardrobes and/or closets. The 3 bedrooms share a landing and bathroom with a shower. There is a second bathroom with a tub available downstairs. Breakfast options may include coffee/tea, homemade juice, scones, muffins/coffee cake and toast and other surpises as well as fresh eggs from my laying hens. Guests have access to the entire house and yard. Guests are welcome to use the porches, stroll the grounds and visit with the chickens. I will be on premises, live in the house and work in an outbuilding during the day. The degree of interaction is entirely up to the guests. My Rehoboth house offers the quiet of the country while still being close to many desirable locations. Convenient to the RI and MA wine trail and only 7 miles from Narragansett Bay and 15 minutes from Providence RI with it's great restaurants and Waterfire lightings. Just 2 miles from Goff Hall ( a destination for Contra Dance enthusiasts) and artisan bread workshops are offered on the street! The house is 30 minutes from Horseneck beach in Westport, MA and close enough to Newport, Cape Cod, and Boston for day trips. Just 30 minutes from great antiquing in New Bedford, MA or you can catch the ferry from there to Martha's Vineyard! Only 20 minutes from the commuter rail into Boston, MA.(URL HIDDEN) Rehoboth is one of the oldest towns in Massachusetts (established 1643) and has many historic sites to explore. Across the street lies the Horton and Wheeler historic cemetery, one of 52 historic burial places in this area. You will need a car. Please check Providence WaterFire 2023 dates online. A must-see!
