Mama J's Tropical House

Mama J's Tropical House is completely surrounded by lush greenery, flowers and mature fruit trees. It is a perfect spot for families & couples to relax at the end of a day. Enjoy grilling, choice of several lanais that include picnic table, rocker & hammock. We have bocce ball & cornhole to play on the spacious lawns. For rainy days we have giant Jenga, an extensive Hawaiiana library & cable TV as well as videos about the Big Island. The space We are 5 minutes from historic Pahoa Town for shopping, restaurants and more. Poho'iki, a new black sand beach is about a 20 minute drive. We are about 30min from Hilo & 55min to Volcanoes National Park for easy day trips to either. We have 5 years experience hosting in a home that was claimed by lava on June 5th,2018. We learned a lot about what guests desire so far as comfort & amenities. We are grateful for this 2nd chance sharing our home.
