Description

If you’re staying with us it’s because of the location, vibe, garden, and float tank. We are up and away from all the traffic but still 5 minutes away from all the prime surfing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, turtle spotting, and sunset beaches. Our guests love to float. Floating can aid in detoxing, recovery, and more. We enjoy having gatherings and we usually have some fresh fruit in our garden you can pick :) The space We are so lucky to live on this magical yard. We have numerous fruit trees and there is nearly always something in season you may pick straight off the tree. We have a gazebo up in the yard you are more than welcome to spend time in as well as hammocks. On some nights we have fires, feel free to join us. Pupukea is a beautiful place. You still feel like you’re in the country, away from it all, but also right there. We are lucky to have slightly more cooler nights than they do down the hill, which is nice for sleeping. Because we live with trees around us you can hear all the songs the birds play from your room. The house is a single level house with a couple of steps at the entrance. You enter the house through the garage into our outside living room/lobby area. We enter and exit the house through the sliding glass doors. In your room there are 2 large windows looking out into the yard. It is a corner room so you have a great breeze. You have a queen size bed and most of our guests have commented on how well they slept in it. There is also a large closet and ceiling fan. The bathroom is a shared space and is cleaned regularly. We try to have fresh flowers around when we can because we could all use a little more flowers in our lives. We also try to keep it stocked with amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. Most of our guests book a float too since it is right HERE. It can aid your body in balancing yourself out either when you arrive or before you leave (or both!) Even when you are sleeping your brain is still processing light, sound, and gravity. In the tank there is none of that, it is the deepest state of rest you can have. We offer a discounted price to our guests, just ask. Guest access We encourage you to enjoy the yard, the garden vegetables, fruit, and calming scenery. Take some time to sit, and be with the trees and the birds. We have lots of places to do that: hammocks, chairs, and gazebos. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots, pans, utensils and everything needed to make a home cooked meal or prepare food for the road. Please feel free to use the spices and condiments found in the kitchen. We always make sure to have coffee and tea available. During your stay, please feel free to borrow our camping equipment, surf boards, snorkeling gear, coolers, beach chairs, and towels. If there is anything else you need, just ask, we might have it! During your stay We do our best to be available, while keeping our work schedules. Feel free to contact us prior or during your stay with any questions that come up or for recommendations. We mostly work from home (the float tank, NAMI, & massage therapy) and friends and family come to us so we are usually around. Other things to note We do live in up the hill, in the country, and this is Hawaii. Please take into consideration that even though I clean the house daily we sometimes have "unwelcomed" visitors. Usually visitors consist of wild chickens and insects. I am often battling the ants, especially if it has been really rainy. If you leave food out the ants will find it. Chickens are everywhere on the north shore, they do fertilize the trees and eat a good amount of insects but they also crow on their own schedule. We are also a meditation space with the tank so we just ask that you be mindful of your noise when we have float clients. This doesn't mean you can't talk, hang out, and enjoy yourself. It just means that you don't yell or scream and you are aware of your noise levels. We would also like you to know that we are pretty social and sometimes have friends/family over for dinners on the outside lanai. The struggle is real in Hawaii, electricity is expensive so laundry is $10 a load. Thank you for your understanding.
