We do not have a stove for cooking, but Microwave-oven, toaster oven, coffee maker and fridge in kitchen. If you have a car: Residential Parking Permit needed, $10 per day at vending machines To go to Manhattan, with Ezpass toll, Free coming back (entering New Jersey). You can decide to go to Manhattan by car but parking is kind of difficult especially Midtown ( very expensive), if you go Uptown, it's more doable. Here is where to purchase parking permits via vending machines: North Bergen public library 8411 Bergenline Ave North Bergen, NJ 07047 Or via online Once purchased, please put the parking permit on the dashboard where it is visible from the outside. Don’t put the parking permit on the windshield wiper or anywhere outside the car. Please remember to check street cleaning rules and don’t park in driveways or handicap spots. Some information for your stay: Bus 154 located at 67th street and John Kennedy Boulevard (1 minute away & every 30 minutes during peak hours and every hour during off peak hours, Bus 156 & 159 located at 67th street and Bergenline avenue (7 minutes away & every 30 minutes) To come late from Manhattan, take the 159, it runs late at 1,3 and 5 am Pay in the bus: $3.50 cash or buy 10 discounts tickets at port Authority for $35 (go to one vending machine, press 10 discount tickets, zone 2 and bus 154) Children ages 5 to 11 years olds and seniors ages 62 years old and up: $1.55 Where to buy food? Target, Walmart, Aldi North Bergen( Tonnelle Avenue) las Palmas, West New York ( And more on Bergenline Avenue) Where to Eat? So many restaurants on Bergenline Avenue...hispanic food, chinese food and italian mainly. My favorite ones are Kebab Istanbul (60th and Kennedy Boulevard), Dulce de Leche Bakery (67th and Bergenline Avenue), Trattoria La Sorrentina (By a Huge nice Park on Bergenline Avenue and 79th street) Nice places to see in NJ: Hoboken ( a lot of restaurants on Washington street, NYC skyligts, nice park), Liberty State Park (huge park where you can do your sport and see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 9/11 Memorial and NYC skylight). If you don't want to take transportation to see NYC skylight you can go on 60th street and Boulevard East (15 minutes walk from our place)
