Escape to Maui and enjoy this 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo with ocean views at Kamaole Sands Resort in Kihei, Maui. Built on 15 acres of gorgeous gardens, the resort is directly across from Kamaole Beach Park III. The condo sleeps 6 and is decked out with a full kitchen, private lanai, living area, split-level air conditioning and wireless Internet. Hawaiian taxes of 17.4166% are added into the nightly rate. Please note: condo does not provide snorkel gear. Unit 4-401 has a new split zone air-conditioning system, comfortably cooling all rooms, including upstairs loft. The living room includes a sofa and love seat and has a 65” flat screen LED TV with cable and BluRay player. There is wireless, high-speed Internet. This unit has 2 private parking stalls (free of charge and right next to the elevator). For your use, we provide two beach chairs, beach towels and a large beach umbrella. NOTE: This is a non-smoking unit (including the lanai). Smoking is ONLY allowed in designated areas at the Kamaole Sands Resort. Ask Front Desk for details. The Kamaole Sands complex offers several amenities: pool, hot tub, family hot tub, and children's wading pool, fitness facilities, elevators, on-site activities guide, nice and clean propane grills and multiple tennis courts. Daily newspaper and Wednesday pool parties are just a few of the park amenities that put this resort a cut above the rest! Kamaole Sands also features an equipment rental shop near the pool area, renting snorkels, boogie boards, and other beach equipment for guest use. The condo has beach towels, beach umbrella and beach chairs. There is no snorkeling gear. This unit has 2 private parking stalls (free of charge and right next to the elevator). Directly across from Kamaole Sands Resort is Kamaole Beach III, a beautiful white-sand beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling, where you're sure to see whales in the winter, and gorgeous sea turtles year round. The spacious lawn fills up each evening with travelers hoping to catch one of the frequently stunning sunsets. Defined by its laid-back vibe, Kihei offers fun restaurants, bars and night clubs. There's plenty of shopping to be found. A neighborhood favorite is the Kihei Kalama Village. Be sure to checkout the Local Boys Shave Ice!!! The best way to see Maui is to rent a car. There is public transportation, however. The Maui Bus public transit service consists of thirteen (13) bus routes and provides service in and between various Central, South, West, Haiku, Kula and Upcountry Maui communities. All of the routes are operated seven days a week, including all holidays. All vehicles on the routes are ADA accessible. IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to Kamaole Sands AOAO requirements, any Guest renting unit must be 25 years or older -- no exceptions. If Guest is not 25 years or older, they will not be allowed on the premises and their rental agreement will be terminated with no refunds. Fees The Kamaole Sands Resort charges a one-time fee of $40 + HI GET (up to 30 nights) and $80 HI GET (30+ nights). Guest will pay the fee upon check in at the Kamaole Sands Front Desk. There is a $313 cleaning fee which is charged to you via Airbnb upon booking the unit. For extended stays beyond two weeks (14 nights), the condo will need to be cleaned again 14 nights or so into Guest's stay. The fee for this additional clean is $150 US dollars + HI GET (charged via Airbnb) and will need to be paid 48 hours prior to your arrival. Tips Clothes Dryer The sensors in the clothes dryer will often times indicate that your clothes are dry when they are still very damp. For best results, put the dryer on the timer mode and be sure to do the maximum amount of time -- 60 minutes on high. The condo has an electric dryer and doesn’t get as hot as gas dryers. To make sure your clothes get dry in a timely fashion, keep your dryer loads small to medium in size. Washing Machine After using the washer, please leave the washer door open for 12 to 24 hours to ensure the washer dries completely. Front loading washers have a seal to ensure no water leakages, but this means they never completely dry, which can then cause mildew. Thank you so much for your help. Air Conditioner Exhaust on Lanai Unfortunately, the air conditioner compressor sits in the lanai closet. When the air conditioner is on, hot air blows out onto the lanai. If you choose to eat out on the lanai, I recommend you turn off the air conditioner units in each room. The compressor will then not blow hot air. I know this isn’t very convenient, but unfortunately, due to the design of the condo complex, it’s something we have to put up with. AC Unit Settings Please keep all of the AC units at 72 degrees – no lower than 70 degrees. The units run all year round and keeping them at this setting ensures they don’t over heat.
